May 2019 Goals

I’m so excited to be sharing my monthly goals again!  After months of not writing them down, I can honestly say that writing these down really helps me stay more focused and self disciplined.

Now that Ryan is home more, I can focus a little more on work related stuff, which is exciting.  I have quite the list though for May.

1. Post twice a week on YouTube

I’ve been avoiding a schedule for so long because it has been pretty tedious to post a video, but I know part of being successful on any social media channel is consistency.  I think this will help me stay more organized and focused as well.  My goal right now is Tuesdays and Thursdays.

2. Collab with at least 1 person a month

Collaborating with other YouTubers is so important for growth.  I have to get out of my comfort zone and ask people to collab.  I already have 2 set up for May and 1 in June.

3. Revamp my Etsy Shirt Shop

I opened this shop several months ago and have learned A LOT in these months.  I need to make some changes to the listings and add the other designs I have as well.  Once that is complete I can also send a few of my shirts to influencers who have told me they’d love one.  I love marketing this way.

4. Set up my Amazon Store

I was recently accepted to be an Amazon influence (different than the affiliate links), but I need to add my go-to favorite products in there and get that set up.  It will be so much easier to direct people to this store and organize all my favorite things in there!

5. Drink MORE water

Y’all, I have been the WORST water drinker in the last several months.  Like I’ll go the entire day without drinking water.  It’s terrible and it affects my health.  My goal is at least 60 oz a day.  That may be small to some, but that is a huge amount compared to what I drink now.  I’m also aiming to have 16oz first thing in the morning before I drink my coffee.

6. Workout 4 times a week (preferably at gym)

I am a gym person 100%.  I find it extremely hard to workout at home.  I finally jumped over the hurdle of taking Brielle to the gym and watching her cry.  She does SO much better and is always fine when I pick her up, but I still get mom guilt when she gets sad as we pull in or I hand her over.  It’s literally a sad whimper cry that cuts right through my heart.  But I know it’s so good for me and in turn, good for my kids.

7. Lose 10 pounds

Just has to happen!

8. Budget daily

I’ve gotten out of the habit of this and it’s no bueno.  I’m a firm believer in writing your expenses down after going months without doing it.  It is extremely helpful.  We just use Excel for our budget.

9. Waste less food

This kind of goes with #8, but I’m a pretty bad food waster.  I hate left overs and cringe when anything gets close to expiring.  I also like to cook what I am in the mood for, not necessarily what we have.  But I’m tired of food taking up space in our pantry or freezer and then throwing it out when it’s bad. I alway shop our pantry before going to the store, but I just want to me so much more intentional about what we use up.

**Other Tasks On My Mind**

Other things I have on my mind but aren’t necessarily goals are:

-Thinking about Ryan’s birthday (it’s the 12th)

-Get my phone fixed (Brielle dropped it yesterday and the screen broke…I’m praying I don’t need a new phone)

-Set up a dermatology appointment (year skin check)

-Go to my dentist appointment (which most likely means I’ll be getting some kind of dental work done since my teeth are the absolute worst)

–Clean the blinds in my house (I know, weird, but I loathe this and by the time I actually decide to dust them, it’s past just dusting. Then I’m forced to do a full on wipe down because they’re so bad).

So those are my goals this month and I will update y’all before sharing my June goals.  I’d love to hear if you have any goals this month as well.

And make sure to check out my Youtube channel for a super cute Mother’s Day idea tomorrow.  I shared it on my Instagram yesterday.
