It’s been a while since I’ve done a monthly goal post. Back in January, I shared my goals for the year. My motto for this year is “Action Over Perfection.” I’m a perfectionist so I usually prolong getting stuff done in search of the perfect circumstance. I’ve learned over time, it’s better to just take action vs. perfect it.
I’m happy to say I’m making good on my goal of incorporating more videos. I’m enjoying my YouTube channel and creating content. Yesterday, I posted my first cleaning video. It’s fun to see the before and after! You can see the video here:
I thought I would share my goals for March:
#1 CONSISTENT TIME IN THE WORD
My goal is to spend time in the Word on a daily basis. I rarely sit down these days and I think that’s maybe why it’s been harder for me to do this. I have to have no distractions during my quiet time. I’m enjoying listening to sermons online, but there is nothing like opening the Bible and diving in. I do have some apps on my phone and will do those if nothing else.
#2 EATING AND SLEEPING BETTER
I got an Apple Watch for my birthday and it has been eye opening how terrible my sleep is. I can now see why I have certain behaviors during the day due to lack of sleep. I also did a couple of days of inputing my food into MyFitnessPal and it’s apparent I am eating/drinking too much sugar. I feel like it’s in everything and adds up so quickly. I’m having to be much more intentional with planning my food for each meal, otherwise I grab something unhealthy. I would love to get back into the gym this month, but I just don’t know if that will happen. I’m not ready to take Brielle.
#3 PAINT THE ENTRY WAY/DINING ROOM/HALLWAY
Ryan is done with reffing now so we’re able to get some projects done around the house. First on our list is painting the entry way/dining room area right when you walk into the house. I’m going to be filming this as well as taking pictures in order to share with you. I’m hoping we can get a lot of it done over Spring Break.
#4 ORGANIZE WORK FILES
I have a ton to do to organize my work files (and personal) ever since moving to a Mac computer.
#5 ORGANIZE OFFICE/FILES
My office has become unorganized mainly due to paper not being filed. I also need to buy a new wireless printer which will help to organize some things.
#6 TAXES
Bleh! I hate taxes like most people, but I need to get a jump on this obviously…I wasn’t as organized last year with my expenses (baby threw me for a loop) so it’s going to take me much longer to document it all. I’ve been using the help of Paper and Spark the last couple of years and her templates are life savers. She’s got great tutorials too! I highly recommend her if you’re an Etsy seller.
Our garage is a total mess. Actually that’s an understatement. You guys, it’s so bad. We REALLY need to tackle that this month, so let’s hope we have some good cool weather.
So as you can see, we have a ton to do this month, but I feel free again. You guys, Ryan has been home the last couple of days after work and I cannot explain to you the relief it is to have help with the kids, especially the baby. She is growing up quickly and I’m obsessed with her more and more each day. She’s 5 months old today and is rolling over all the time now.
I can’t wait to share some pictures and videos of this month’s goals so stay tuned. Do you make monthly goals? What are you going to check off your to-do list this month?

I’m so impressed that you make monthly goals and have re-opened your Etsy shop, with all you have going on!!
I set goals for the year (12, this year), and check in on my progress monthly. Which reminds me that I need to do my February update; where does the time go??

Trust me, sometimes it’s completely overwhelming and I question “what are you doing?” but I truly love all of them. Revisiting them monthly is so important…hopefully you’re meeting your goals. This year has flown by so far.

I’ve gotta watch that cleaning video! Your description of a perfectionist – ‘ prolong getting stuff done in search of the perfect circumstance’ OMG you are so right – I realised I do that all the time!! Usually leaving jobs til the house is clean and perfect etc etc. I never even thought of it that way before! Hail the Mom-Philosopher :)! Best Wishes – Joanne x

Your cleaning video was oddly mesmerizing. If only cleaning up was as easy as watching someone else clean up!
