I’m Back!!!

Goodness Gracious it’s been a long time!  This is the longest break I’ve taken from the blog since starting it almost 7 years ago.  Lots has happened since the last time I posted.

We had our precious baby!  Baby #3, our first (and will-be only) girl.  Brielle Adelyn Snyder.  She’s already 5 weeks old and let’s just say the last 5 weeks have been pure survival.  I’ve had her birth story done for 4 weeks, but my new phone won’t sync up with my computer and I just haven’t had time to figure it out.  Therefore, I’ve been posting most of my daily life on Instagram (oliviacsnyder).

We are so in love with her…and having 3 kids is A LOT.  The hardest part is the logistics of making sure each child is where they need to be, doing what they need to be doing, all while making sure they’re fed and the house is somewhat livable.  I’ll post more about the transitions, how I’m feeling about it all, her milestones, baby products I love and have loved for 3 babies now, and more.

This last week was TOUGH.  All 3 kids got sick (Brielle is still sick) and I got mastitis AND Ryan was gone every single day until last Sunday (the day I got on antibiotics).  Lots of single parenting is happening from now (well, really since September) until March.  Having him home in the evening makes a HUGE difference.  If I can get through this basketball season (he officiates college basketball), I’m seriously creating a trophy for myself because whoa!  I’m not even kidding.  I will be receiving some form of a trophy, whether it’s new clothes, a weekend away, or hundreds of dollars to Starbucks.  Okay, maybe not that much.

I just wanted to pop in on here and say I’m still alive.  I have so much content to catch up on and I’m praying I can find a few minutes to post away on this blog as I use it to document so much.  We’ve got Beckham’s birthday coming up on the 19th, family pictures, Thanksgiving, Friendsgiving, Christmas shopping, TWO soccer teams this winter season, my annual Christmas party I’m hoping to still have, and lots more coming up the remainder of the year!  Oh and my shop is back open and already flooding with orders, which I’m grateful for, but a lot to juggle, especially as a single mama most days.

I do have to give a huge shout out to my mother in law and my parents.  My mother in law as helped me more than I deserve and is the reason I’m surviving these last few weeks.  She is extremely selfless and I hit the MIL jackpot.  And my parents have also helped out a ton here of late and just made me feel special in this overwhelming season of life.  They’re always willing to drop what they’re doing and come help me if I call (which I hate doing…I hate asking for help, but have been more willing this go around).

Anyway, follow along on Instagram if you want to keep up, otherwise, I’m hoping to post a bit more.  First in order is Brielle’s birth story!  It was incredible and VERY different than my last vbac.

Congratulations!!! The transition from 2-3 kids is pure survival (we had 3 in 37 months). I realized quickly I needed to lower my expectations of myself and ask for help. She is beautiful, good job mama!!!

I’m so glad you said that because I truly feel like it’s survival right now. And 3 in 37 months?!?! That’s definitely survival.

    Dear Olivia,

I used to read every single one of your posts until I got my own blog and began hanging out with the WordPress crowd more and writing more than I read
I thought about you today and decided to come over. I was shocked by your post about Brielle’s birth. My thoughts “Oh my, I’ve been away for really long, she’s had a baby girl!!”. I had this idea that I had read that you were definitely done after having your two boys. It was such a lovely surprise. I’m so happy for you and your family. She’s precious. The boys look so grown up!
