Groceries/Meal Plan This Week!

I think I have like five posts “in the making” just sitting in my drafts waiting to be edited and published.  Of course, if it’s not one problem, it’s another…my camera broke and I can’t take pictures!  Therefore, I cannot take quality pictures right now for my posts, so they’re just sitting there.

I shared our first week’s worth of groceries here.  People are often interested in how we keep a low budget and what we buy.  I thought I would share this week’s groceries and where I’m at in our budget!

Here is our groceries this week!  I only shopped at Walmart and Kroger.  At Kroger we bought chocolate milk, whole milk for Beckham, and a banana…yep, just one.  That Kroger bill was $9.57.  Our Walmart bill was $54.45 (everything you see pictured).

We have spent a total of $277.53 this month.  Our monthly budget is $300!  So, I have roughly $25 to spend next week.  I don’t know how I’m going to manage that, but stay tuned to see if it happens.  I really want to prove to the hubby that I can stick to the budgeted amount…even if January is super long in “grocery weeks.”

Our meal plan this week is:
Monday: Soy Glazed Salmon with Beans
Tuesday: Baked Spaghetti (only 1/2 lb. ground beef)
Wednesday: Baked Tacos (other 1/2 of ground beef)
Thursday: Chicken Tortilla Soup
Friday: Leftover soup
Saturday: Steak, Tilapia?  Haven’t decided yet, but both are in freezer

Have a great week!  And thank you for the encouraging comments and emails!  I truly love EACH of them!
