Week 4 seemed like a long week. To be honest, I’m tired! Beckham has really shined in the tantrum phase lately. God and I are getting closer and closer each day. Holy moly! Here are some pictures from this week. I post them daily on my Instagram (@oliviacaitlinsnyder).
Day 22: Beckham’s favorite meal…crock pot beans and whole strawberries.
Day 23: Beckham proudly showing me his art at school today! I love his school and teachers. He ran right back to his class without turning around to say bye…I couldn’t decide if I should be happy he didn’t throw a tantrum or sad he was more excited to go to class.
Day 24: Easiest cookie cake recipe. Basically you take 1 large roll (the biggest size) of Nestle cookie dough (or two of the smaller rolls), let them thaw well to room temp and flatten them out in a large, greased cake pan (my preferred method) or a round cookie disposable tray (it comes out thinner this way and you have to make sure the edges on the tray are high so it won’t spill over in the oven which I can’t always find). Cook for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool, then decorate. Better than store bought and tastes just like the mall cookies. I’ve tried different brands and Nestle comes out the best.
Day 25: Beckham taking a nap on the floor on his nap mat because he was deathly afraid of a gecko being in his bed. It started the night before when he apparently saw a “gecko” in his bed and freaked out. It was so sad…he was truly scared and crying hard. Ryan had to fall asleep with him that night. Woke up next morning freaking out again. So for his nap, he refused it again and it just broke my heart how scared he was. So I laid his nap mat out from school and he laid down and fell asleep. Didn’t even get up and wander. FYI, he’s over the gecko. Ryan convinced him he was “bye-bye.”
Day 26: These parents, who happen to be mine, are the best! They came over and helped me organize my garage when Ryan was gone on Sunday. My garage people! At least Phase 1. It will take 3 phases. Then they took us all to dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Yes, I know…awesome!
Day 27: He has mastered celebrating after scoring a goal! He put his hands up and yelled “Goooooaaaalllllll!” If you watch soccer on TV at all, you get that. It made me proud and slightly scared he will be a little cocky! This was an interactive virtual soccer field at a pizza place.
Day 28: Toddlers make excellent cracker crushers. I needed crushed Ritz crackers for a recipe and he “helped.” Don’t worry, he “unhelped” the rest of the night. FYI, this dinner put me over the edge for the night. There really is no point to cooking WITH a toddler and WITHOUT a husband in the house.
A little more from this week:
I told him carrots were good for his eyes. This is how he took it.
This picture is perfection to me. Coffee + Devotional + Toddler Sleeping = Great time with Jesus. This book is Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. Highly recommend, especially for busy mamas.
Celebrating how high he is. Y’all, I wish I could post a video of his celebration song. It’s really cute. He even does it for me in the grocery store…”Go mommy, go mommy, wooooooo!”
This might be the funniest picture of him. He started taking selfies of himself…no lie, and apparently was practicing in the car when he had my phone. I found a series of these same photos on my phone the next morning. I think the fact that his hood is up and his face is covered is what makes it so funny.
