Mother’s Day Present

With the help of Pintrest, we decided to give my mom a DIY gift for Mother’s Day this year.  She absolutely loved it and was crying 2 pages into reading it. 

It is a “52 Reasons Why We Love You” book.  Why 52?  I found this cute idea on Pintrest, but it was on a deck of cards (hence the 52) and was actually pinned as an anniversary idea.  I could not find a vintage deck of cards (just looked funny on regular cards), nor could I find vintage paper to print the reasons on.  So, I decided to put it on scrapbook paper I knew my mom would like and decided the 52 (since we had already come up with our reasons), would represent 52 weeks in the year – she could re-read one reason a week to remind herself why she is loved as a mom. 

Since there are 4 of us O’Rear kids, we each wrote 13 reasons INDEPENDENTLY of each other.  I emphasize “independently” because we each stated the same thing in our 13 reasons (see below).
