5 on Friday – Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Poppin’ real quick today for 5 on Friday to share five Mother’s Day gift ideas!

{GIFT BASKETS}:
I love baskets a lot because I tend to enjoy giving gifts that are composed of a bunch of things vs. one big gift.  It takes a little bit more time and can get pricey, but the receiver always has a fun time opening all the goodies.  HERE is a “summery” themed basket I did for my mom one year.  I like to make a theme and add a fun tag that tells what the theme is.  It could even be “A Mother’s Favorites” theme if you want a random assortment of items.

{REASONS WE LOVE YOU CARDS – TEAR JERKER PRESENT}:
Read HERE about this idea.  My mom LOVED LOVED this present and was tearing up 4 cards in.  You could customize this however you like, easy or hard.  Very inexpensive and probably worth more than other presents to a mom!  I do recommend laminating it.  You can take them to a teacher store to get laminated for pretty cheap.

*Bonus – You could also just hire me to create a gorgeous SIGN for your mom with however many reasons you’d like! Wink Wink 😉  If you’re not the DIYer type, this is the way to go in all seriousness.

{CLEANING SERVICE}:
This is more of an expensive gift, but let me just tell you, this is GREAT!  I LOVE to clean and still would love someone else to do the dirty work for me!  I’m pretty sure any mom with children under her roof, would appreciate this gesture.  Not sure who to hire?  Ask some of your wife’s friends.  We get tons of coupons for cleaning services in the mail as well.

{SPA TREATMENT}:
This could be many different things depending on your budget.  A simple candle with a massage gift card attached would be perfect.  Or a nail polish color with a pedicure gift card attached.  I always like attaching gift cards to something that pairs well with it.  I love Bath and Body Works candles…and I believe they’re on sale right now (2 for $22)

{OTHER IDEAS}:
-CAR DETAILED – This is great for moms carting kids around!

-STARBUCKS GIFT CARD inside a coffee mug (with chocolate).  I made these…will blog soon about it.  You can find tutorials on Pinterest.

-BREAKFAST IN BED – Not sure how many husbands will read this, but how nice to start off the day with NOT cooking breakfast.  Not a good cook?  Bring her coffee in bed.  (Ryan if you’re reading, I like a tall caramel/vanilla latte with non-fat milk, no whip from Starbucks)…LOL.  Just kidding, he never reads this.

-A LETTER –  Mothers really cherish words, especially from their kids.  Write your mom a letter.  Husbands, have your kids write her a letter.  If they’re too young, you “write” it from them…it’s sweet to hear what “your kids” think (through your eyes).

-I have a few signs available in my shop as well.  You will get them within 48 hours and can print and frame!  Click HERE to see some of the signs.
