Happy Fall Y’all

I’ve had my Fall decorations up for 2 weeks now and I thought I’d share how I add some Fall flare to our house…on a budget of course.  I cleaned out the garage a couple of weeks ago and decided to get the Fall décor down since I was already in there.

I’ve also been burning my Scentsy with Fall scents (I’m using the ScentSationals brand from Walmart).  Each one is $2.00 and they smell great!  I bought Warm Apple Pie, Pumpkin Spice, Sugared Pecan Pumpkin, and Vanilla Cookie Crunch.  Aren’t you hungry now?  I also stocked up on Fall scented soaps from Bath and Body Works when they had their 5 for $18 sale.  I’m now waiting for the candles to go on sale to grab a couple of those.

My mom gave me several Fall décor pieces of hers when we got our own house.  I also bought several things when we had Beckham’s 2nd Fall Birthday Party.  And this year I added 2 new things and have cut myself off.  Hobby Lobby and Michaels are my go to stores for seasonal décor.

This is the new Fall wreath I bought at Michaels this year.  I’m a sucker for sparkle and gold.

When you walk in the door, this is the entry way table.  I made that wreath 2 years ago with my sister in law and decided to hang it here this year.
And this is what you see when you walk in.  The lighting in this picture doesn’t do it ANY justice, but it is so pretty when you walk in (even with the high chair) 🙂

My mom gave me these two wicker pumpkins a long time ago and this is my first year to use them.  I absolutely love them and they’re perfect next to the centerpiece I bought this year (my 2nd new décor piece).  I like simple on a table because we actually eat on it and I don’t feel like moving décor every time we need to eat.
My mom also gave me those pumpkins and I love how they add some Fall-ness to the table but are simple.  I’m loving simple décor more and more these days as it’s clean and clutter free.

The bookshelf is the same as last year’s décor as well.  I need to print off a picture of B and M in last year’s Halloween costumes and put it in that frame (I put the previous year’s Halloween picture in that frame each year).  That owl holds candles and is really pretty when lit.

Our fireplace this year.  Very similar to last year, but I took away that subway art and added it to our kitchen.  I love this garland.  It’s one of my favorite purchases.  I got it for B’s party.
A couple of little door hangers.
And this stays on our bar.  Also very pretty when the candles are lit.
This is where I put the subway art I found at Hobby Lobby last year.  Or maybe it was Michaels. I can’t remember.  It sits next to my Scentsy to hide the cord and plug.
I can’t believe the boys last year.  Maddox’s costume was great!
Fall signs are popular in my shop right now.  Here is a collection of most of my Fall signs.
And this is a new one I created this year.  It’s my favorite.  I have a color version and a black and white version.
And if you’d like a FREE fall sign to use as some décor, just right click on this image and download to your computer and you can print it from your home computer.  It’s designed as an 8×10.

I’m impatiently awaiting the cooler temps and will really be able to enjoy Fall when I can cozy up with my favorite Salted Caramel Mocha outside on the patio while the kids play!

How are you able to keep decorative stuff out with two kids? As soon as my son could pull up on furniture I had to get rid of everything. His hands were all over everything and still are at two (he just turned two today!). I'm convinced he'd rather play with my stuff over his toys. We don't have a playroom so maybe that's why?? I just had another son so it'll be awhile before my tables aren't naked again. It makes cleaning easier though!

Haha..this made me laugh! I feel your pain. My oldest (the crazy climber and just crazy kid overall) was the one that destroyed most decor. I still can't decorate tables and such because mainly the 1 year old will just rip it right off. If you notice, most of my decor is up higher and my 1 year old can't climb that high yet. Beckham can but he's at an age now (almost 4) were he knows not to destroy something like that (well, for the most part). 🙂 2 years ago, we didn't do a Christmas tree because of what you mentioned too. I'm undecided this year…we'll see how Maddox does. He's much more "obedient" if that's even possible at his age and scared to be told NO so we might do a tree. I always get frustrated when I see a really cute living room table or behind the couch table or bookshelf and want to decorate myself like that, but realize I'll have to wait till they're both older. I often wonder that too so I'm glad you asked. 🙂
