27 Weeks!!!
I can’t believe I’m a week away from the 3rd trimester. Some books say it starts now, but on thebump.com it’s still considered 2nd trimester. Since I go next week to the doctor, I’ll consider next week the start of my 3rd trimester.
I never thought I could love someone as much as Ryan, but I am realizing I do! I’m so in love with Baby Snydes already! I want to meet him so I can see his little eyes and hold his tiny hands! I read some cool facts about the 27th week (I haven’t been reading since I’ve been so busy).
-He will start to open his eyes this week!
-He’s about 15 inches and weighs a little over 2 pounds.
Growing Belly:
Changes With Myself:
-My appetite has increased tremendously! Usually I don’t eat as much during the school year since I’m so busy, but now I am never really full and could munch and munch and munch! Ryan thinks I’m not getting enough protein and I think he’s right! All I want is carbs, fruits, and fats (mmm cheese and burgers)!!! I have 3 things I’m slightly obsessed with right now: natural white cheddar cheese puffs, Rudy’s potato salad, and fruit! The cheese puffs are the only things that I have to work hard to not to gorge on because I never get the potato salad from Rudy’s since it’s at a restaurant and it’s extremely expensive. I’m already looking forward to eating my lunch tomorrow so I can have cheese puffs.
-Getting more uncomfortable by the day! It’s hitting me that I’m actually pregnant physically! It is harder to bend down, stay on my feet all day, workout, wash dishes, and sit at my desk. I’m not even that big yet, but the changes hit me every once in a while when I try to do something normally and realize it’s tougher. Luckily, 3rd graders LOVE “helping” the teacher!
-Belly button is protruding more and more. I can now see the bottom hole of my belly button ring. It’s no longer “inside” of my belly button.
-My hair is MUCH dryer!!! So dry that it breaks off. I have to get a deep conditioning treatment next time I get my hair done! I can go 5 nights without washing it and it looks exactly the same (not oily or dirty looking at all). I know gross, but whatever…it is what it is!
-Hormones are taking over my “people pleasing” attitude. I’m a horrible people pleaser, but I am learning to do what I can do and not stress as much as I normally would. My priorities definitely are shifting a little.
-Leg cramps – I’m getting these at night/early morning. Once I move, I’ll start to feel one coming on and I have to be very careful not to stretch quickly.
-Other symptoms I can’t really express publicly, so we’ll leave it at that. If you’ve been pregnant, I’m sure you can figure.
Next Tuesday (the 6th), I go for my 7 month check up! I have to do the diabetes test. I also have to get a shot since I’m Rh negative. Hope it doesn’t hurt. I heard you get the shot in your butt. We’ll see. Can’t wait to hear his heart beat and see how he is progressing!
I have been so blessed by a friend at school who has lent me her maternity clothes. She just had a baby this year and is letting me borrow SOOO many clothes. It is saving my life in the mornings when getting ready for work. Plus it’s really cute stuff! Thank you Colleen! I’m so ready for winter. Maternity clothes are SOOO hot! Unfortunately, I think I get to experience only one month of cooler weather when I’m pregnant! But I’ll be super big, so it will be nice when I’m wearing all those layers!
We have a 3 day weekend, so I’m really excited because I am going to actually get to think about baby things this weekend!!! Loving pregnancy!
