It has been SO hard to get to my computer lately and blog. I thought back on why it’s been so tough and basically it’s because I’VE BEEN LIVING. 🙂 But seriously, sometimes you just have to live and not blog.
This last week was our Spring Break. The boys had off from preschool and Ryan was off from work. He didn’t have any reffing this week so we were able to spend the entire week together.
SATURDAY: We started off the break at a birthday party, which the boys loved. We also went over to my brother’s house to let his kids and mine play (Ryan did have a game that night and my brother’s wife was out of town).
MONDAY: We took the boys to our favorite donut shop in Allen! Afterwards we went to Costco, which is always an adventure. I totally forgot what we did the rest of the day.
TUESDAY: I decided to tackle the horribly cluttered closet of mine and ended up getting rid of LOTS of clothes. I ended up with 7 bags to donate. I haven’t gone through athletic wear yet either. I cannot tell you how good it feels to get rid of the things I didn’t wear and have a clean closet (well, at least my half…we’re working on Ryan’s side now).
Later that night we went to eat at Grimaldi’s in a cute little shopping center near us. The boys played at the creek afterwards where there’s a cool playground as well.
WEDNESDAY: My mother in law came over to watch the kiddos on this day so Ryan and I could go pick out flooring that we will have installed soon. We spent a lot of time there, but it was definitely worth not taking kids. Later that evening, Beckham had baseball practice and we grabbed a bite to eat afterwards! We pretty much ate out all Spring Break. Maddox looks so much older with a hat on. How is he only 2?
THURSDAY: I forget what we did on Thursday during the day, but that evening we met some of our friends from church at the park and had a picnic with chicken tenders, fries, and sweet tea! I can’t believe I didn’t take any pictures but the kids had a blast together (ran around the park, fed the ducks, and played on the playground). We had so much fun with our friends too 🙂
FRIDAY: On Friday we took the boys to Legoland and Sea Life Aquarium. We stayed our for a total of 7 hours! The boys absolutely loved Legoland and could’ve stayed even longer. It was a bit crowded in the morning since it was Spring Break, but died down by the end of the day. We had lunch in the mall food court (it’s located inside a mall). We started off the day with some liquid energy. Boy did I need it.
These two have gotten so close and I just love seeing them together. I’ve always dreamed of 2 boys and it’s incredible to be living it!
After Legoland, we met up with my parents for dinner (their house was on the way back). That was a great way to end the day. We were all WIPED when we got home!
SATURDAY: We celebrated my grandmother’s 91st birthday! I can’t believe it. She is unbelievable and doesn’t act 91 at all. She sure did enjoy her birthday!

Nonnie with the great grand kids (missing 4 of them):
Nonnie with her 3 beautiful daughters (my mom is on the bottom step). This is where I have my summer Bible study (at my aunt’s house where my grandmother also lives), so I get to see her often in the summer!
SUNDAY: We ended the break with church and a birthday party! We celebrated one of Beckham’s best friends’ birthdays. It was the cutest art party. This was his cupcake masterpiece. How cute is that idea…fill a paint tray with different cupcake toppings and let the kids decorate the cupcake.
We honestly didn’t do much over break, but it was really nice. We checked some things off our list of to-do’s and slept in a lot! Now it’s back to normalcy.
