This weekend, Maddox turned 2 years old! I plan on doing my letter to Maddox after we have his well check on Tuesday. We had planned to do a Fiesta themed party, with a taco bar and pinata, but our kitchen redo took a bit longer than expected, especially with getting it back in order. So I decided last minute, to have everyone meet at the splash pad to celebrate.
I brought some water toys for the kids to play with (water guns were a big hit). There was also a park right next to the splash pad so the kids were able to play on that as well. It was shaded and the weather was actually really pleasant. That was my #1 concern with doing it outside (it’s upper 90’s here in Texas right now), but the weather wasn’t an issue at all.
For food, I brought watermelon, waters, juice, cupcakes, and we ordered pizza as well. After they ate, we did a pinata and opened presents. It was probably one of the funnest parties I’ve hosted. It was so low key and I literally prepped for it the day of (it was an evening party).
Maddox had a blast celebrating turning 2!!! Here are some pictures from the party.
This was Friday evening. The next day was his actual birthday and we celebrated with donuts, swimming, and pizza! He is such a joy and he had a great weekend.
