Before I get into the post, you might notice the graphic above looks a little different than the previous “Ask Me Mondays.” I couldn’t stand having my face on a thumbnail picture like that for a blog series. Just felt weird. So that’s that. 🙂
On my blog survey, a reader suggested posting several “favorites” as a fun post idea. I always enjoy reading personal posts like these from other bloggers, so I thought I’d share some random facts you might not know. I’ve done something similar to this when I turned 28 and 29 years old. These are all random, but I hope you enjoy.
- If I need to cheer up quickly, I clean a space or paint my nails
- My love language is words of affirmation.
- I can’t gargle mouth wash without gagging.
- I like to clean my kitchen before I cook.
- I clean my kitchen every night before bed and make my bed every morning.
- My most ideal physique is athletic/lean muscle.
- I get stressed very easily.
- I struggle with yelling at my kids. I feel like I’ve lost it if I result to yelling.
- My favorite nail polish color is red. I love a light teal in the summer and black in the winter.
- I get nervous very easily.
- My dream house involves an acre or two of land and no more than 3,000 square feet (I don’t want to clean a house that big, plus that just seems excessive for us).
- If I see a picture of a donut (or hear the word), I will crave donuts until I eat one.
- I will always eat pizza. It’s my absolute favorite food.
- My favorite book in the Bible is Proverbs.
- I much rather go to a social gathering with a handful of people than a huge party/get together. Which brings me to my next thing…
- I like to get very personal with friends, not surface-y. I’m a “4 quarters” kind of friend vs. a “100 pennies.”
- I’m conservative and like everyone to follow the rules. I’m also extremely non-confrontational.
- I prefer paper planners over anything digital.
- I hope to play soccer again soon. Time/schedules just don’t allow right now.
- I’m becoming much more minimal. I’ll never be a minimalist, but less is definitely more in my opinion.
- My favorite way to do a play date is with one or two other moms, coffee in hand, chit-chatting on couch, while the kids play.
- Ryan proposed to me with a scavenger hunt in a limo (I rode with my best friend)…each spot revealed a clue to the next (all our firsts) and ended at our current house that he had bought for us (he was waiting inside)!
- I grew up in a Christian home. My parents are still happily married and a great example for us.
- I went to a Christian school my entire life (K-12th grade).
- If there is a scary part in a movie, I cover my eyes with my hands and peak through a little sliver between my fingers.
- I’m a little shy and an introvert.
- I hate kiosks in the mall and will try to avoid them at all costs. I act like I’m in a hurry and whiz by.
- I love when people have flavored creamer for my coffee at their house.
- I can only fall asleep at night if it’s pitch black.
- I’m a thorough thinker…annoyingly so.
- I love Twinkies, but don’t eat them.
- I’m 5’5”
- I have a birth mark on the side of my lower chin.
- I might love the buttery popcorn at movie theaters, better than the actual movie.
- I’ve never been stung by a bee.
See? Super random. Anyone else relate to any of the above? Now you know a little bit more about me. Have a great Monday!

Right on with #8 and #13
Do you have a favorite pizza place?
JoyfullyPrudent says
This is a hard one. One of the best pizzas I had was at Taverna Rossa in Plano. I got bacon and mushroom on it I believe! It was delish. If I order out, I like Dominos Pan pizza. I also like Grimaldi’s but wish the crust was thicker. I like pizza with super thick and dense crust.

These posts are so fun!
We have a lot in common in terms of personality. I’m also more introverted, prefer small groups, a rule-follower, and non-confrontational. As I’ve gotten older (I’m 41), I’ve become less afraid of speaking my min, even when it feels kind of controversial, but I generally will keep my thoughts to myself. I definitely am not as clean and organized as you are, though. 🙂

Thanks Amy,
I use to hate that I was an introvert, but embrace it much more these days. We need both extroverts and introverts…can you imagine if there were only extroverts?! Whoa! And vice versa. I too feel more comfortable speaking my mind or standing firm on my beliefs now that I’m getting older. When you’re confident in what you believe, it’s hard not to.
