A couple of weeks ago I mentioned I cleaned out my nail polishes and reorganized them. Nail care is a weekly thing around here, if not more than once a week, so keeping them organized is great!
I have an addiction to buying nail polishes. One night, I decided to go through them and test them out to see which ones I didn’t use. There is at least $100 worth of nail polish in this stack…good bottles like Essie and OPI, but I just don’t grab for these since I have similar colors. This was the result of what I am giving away.
I’m a little embarrassed with the amount I had “extra.” I mean, that’s a problem. After I selected the ones I wanted to keep, I put them in my nail organizer.
I found this on Amazon a year ago and it’s the PERFECT nail polish organizer. It holds 48 bottles of nail polish. I feel like I shouldn’t have more than that many bottles, so my goal was to narrow it down to that many. I even have a couple spots open that I’m sure I’ll fill soon.
It opens up on both sides. I store them so that when the organizer is sitting upright, as you see it in the picture (that’s how I keep it stored under my cabinet), all the polishes are “standing up.” And there’s a handle on the end for easy grabbing.
It’s literally the best way I’ve ever stored my polishes. So organized and you can see every color at once. I tried to organize them by color. I have one row of clear top/bottom coats for different brands I use. I’ve mentioned this before, but if I can’t buy an Essie or OPI (2 nigh quality brands, but expensive), I love using Sinful Colors. They have the funnest colors and are no more than $2.00 at Walmart (the gel ones might be a little more, but no more than $3 if anything).
As far as all the other stuff needed to paint your nails…I keep those organized in a bin on the side of my sink (the bin sits on a cube shelf). I have 2 small plastic bins. One has nail polish remover (one travel size and one regular). The other bin has the nail care stuff like tweezers, cuticle clippers, file, buffer, etc. I also keep my extra cotton balls and q-tips (I have a small container on my sink with both for easy access).
And that’s it! I hope this gave you an idea of how to store your nail polishes. I love how neat it all is and accessible when I need it.
Cheers to painting your nails! I have a jam packed post for you tomorrow and it’s all about going to back to school. What I use for kids lunches, how I stay organized throughout the year, school supplies, back to school photo props, and even a cute teacher goodie bag idea with a FREE printable! So be sure to check back!

I need 3 or 5 of that. I like that it’s a clear plastic organizer.

I think I need this organizer because I am pretty messy.
