Hey Y’all! I can’t believe I haven’t gotten on my blog and formally shared this yet! I hate to say this, but overwhelmed is the name of the game lately. After having Brielle, things just haven’t seemed to calm down. It’s been almost a year since she was born (what in the world) and I’m beginning to think this is my new normal…head in 50 different directions and forgetting majority of what enters. Sleep is rare, which is probably the culprit…well, and 2 big things I added to my life in the last 6 months.
Back in February, I announced I had started a You Tube channel. I’ve had to neglect this blog a lot to focus on learning that. You can check out my latest video here, it’s a cleaning video (don’t knock it till you try it….LOL).
I enjoy You Tube a ton and there are so many benefits to it vs. a written blog, but I don’t think I’ll ever give up this blog of mine! It’s my baby…I’ve had it since before I became pregnant with my first child 🙂 And hopefully, if my plans for my business as a whole end up how I’m picturing, it will all coincide together.
But this mama of 3 is just taking care her family and side hustling as best as I can. My kids will be older one day and I can work the rest of my life! I’m going to enjoy this beautiful phase of life that all the mamas wish they could go back to (can’t tell you how many times I hear, “I wish I could go back to that time in life when my babies were little…enjoy it, it goes by so fast.”).
I need your feedback on some things, so make sure to read to the end and help a sista out 🙂
EXCITING NEWS
This summer I finally took the plunge and opened another Etsy shop that includes my favorite things to buy myself! A shop with graphic tees and coffee mugs. It’s called, Joyful Art Design Shop (a sister shop to my first one). I was nervous to do this, as I already had one shop to manage (this was equivalent to a part time job, being managed in half that time) + a newborn (when I started planning the shop) + a new YouTube channel + a blog + being a wife and mom (my 2 most important roles).
These are the softest shirts by the way. I went with a more expensive, quality shirt because it’s what I would want if I was ordering a shirt. The softest! And it’s direct to garment printed ink…not vinyl ironed on.
From the outside looking in, that seems like too much. And to be honest, it probably is (hence the silence over here on the blog), but I know God has given me these different passions for a reason. I’m not sure what will become of what, but I know I’m going to pursue them and take it day by day!
It’s been 2 months since I officially opened it and I’m beyond excited to watch it grow…God willing. Make sure to follow me on Instagram @joyfulartdesigns so you can stay updated with new designs and also know when I’m doing a giveaway. I’ll be doing one very soon and will announce it on my page. Hint: If you love Fall, you’ll love this.
I’ll also be doing one for my JAD email subscribers only, so make sure you’re subscribed if you haven’t already. You can subscribe HERE or simply fill out the form directly below. Bonus: you also get a 15% discount code when you sign up! Win, Win!
WOULD LOVE YOUR HELP & ADVICE
I would love to know what you guys enjoy reading on my blog that brought you here in the first place…or what you wish I would write about. Do you like the videos to accompany them as well? If so, what kind of content do you like? I would love to hear from you in general!
Also, I’m doing my first Q&A on Thursday…I’m forcing myself to sit down and do it, even if a baby is in my lap or crawling around. I have some good questions from those of you on Instagram, but if you have any questions or topics you want me to answer, let me know!
LET’S GET SOCIAL:

Hey! I was looking at the Blessed Mama shirts and the only size option is for men. I have ordered this brand of shirt elsewhere in a woman’s size. Is this an error in your Etsy shop order department? Haven’t checked any of the other shirts to know if it like that for them all or if it is just this one.

Hi Angie,
They are unisex sizing but for some reason, they list it as Men’s…I actually need to check with my supplier and ask them why it lists it like that. But yes, they are unisex sizing. Hope that helps.

I love the this brand. Very good quality. I’ve never purchased one in unisex sizing though (unless they are all unisex sizes and the person I bought from just had listed as women sizes. Wonder how the unisex sizing is in comparison to women sizes? Any idea?
JoyfullyPrudent says
I think it’s a bit looser than the women’s fit. It’s a comfy loose tee. I like to size up still with it as I like my shirts a little looser.

I really love your posts on decor and videos on that, too – it’s so hard to do on a budget
What brought me to your blog was the budget posts so I would love to see more of those too!
JoyfullyPrudent says
I agree Jen, decorating is more difficult on a budget, especially if you’re picky and know what you want. There are so many things I’m just waiting on because it is expensive.

I also like seeing posts on decor and design on a budget. Of course posts featuring your cute kiddos make me smile too. 😉

Thank you Kathy! That is so sweet and thank you for your feedback!

I love hearing about your day to day, food options for kids, cleaning hacks, budget stuff and most importantly, as a stay at home, part time working mom myself, I’d love to hear tips on how you balance everything. Maybe a day in the life? One of the most endearing things about your blog is you share the good and the bad. So much is fake on social media and it’s refreshing to see a mom who, like me, struggles to get it all done but you have great practical tips and life hacks to help a Mama out! Congrats on the success of your newest Etsy shop – you’ve worked hard and deserve it!
