Friday Favorites–Random Things

I’m linking up with Andrea, Erika, and Narci to showcase my favorite things lately!  These are really random!

I cannot believe I have never tried dry shampoo until I was 29 years old.  Here’s the thing, I can go a week without washing my hair before it starts to look dirty.  I have thick hair and a lot of it!  Even though I can go a long time without washing my hair, it still needs that dry look after a couple of days.  I have been meaning to get some dry shampoo for about 2 years now…yep 2 years.  I just never did because I wanted to find the perfect one.  Well, the other day I was in Walmart and just grabbed the first dry shampoo that was inexpensive.  This happened to be it and I LOVE it.  With a newborn I definitely have a harder time finding the time to do my hair, so this is extra helpful now and I won’t have to look so bad on Day 4.  It takes me hours to do my hair so I really have to plan it out.  I have no shame in admitting I don’t wash my hair everyday…I’d ruin the heck out of it if I did.

I was in Kroger the other day and forgot my chapstick!  I can’t live without it!  I couldn’t find the chapstick brand so I grabbed the closest thing to it that was cheap.  This happened to be it.  It had color which I don’t really like, but I was desperate.  I grabbed the pink one (2nd from left) and I love these things.  It tastes yummy and makes my lips a light pink color.  Doesn’t stay on long, but it’s fun.  It was like $3.

I usually get pretty healthy bread, but I had this at my mom and dad’s house the other day and it was so good!

And speaking of, there is that bread…I actually finished this lunch without any interruptions.  It might have been at 2:00, but it was nice!

This guy…he just makes me laugh!  My favorite!

Hmm, wonder who it will be?  But I actually LOVE that I got to paint my nails this week!  It was a dark purple, but looks black.  I haven’t painted them since before the baby.  There’s just something about painted nails.

And one more favorite!  B doesn’t cuddle me much anymore, but he crawled up on me at my desk and just laid his head down.  I died…and of course took a pic!

OMGOSH! The chapstick. You won't believe this. I thought they were colored just for fun…and about a year ago at Target I grabbed this bubble gum pink one and totally loaded it on. (you should know I have very light skin so it was BOLD against my skin) Again, thought it was JUST chapstick so I never checked the mirror…..untill like 2 hours later after I ran more errands, got home, answered door for the postal worker….and then finally caught my reflection in the mirror. I WAS HORRIFIED!!!!!!! ahahhahahahahahahahahahahahh

That dry shampoo and that chapstick are two of my very favorite things! Seriously, I don't know how I survived without them! You are so lucky to have that great hair! I have to wash mine every day, but it is flat clean or dirty. This stuff gives it so much body!
