Friday Favorites + Life Lately + Random Thoughts

Some times I take days to write a well thought out post with very useful information in it. And sometimes I dump my brain on this blog. This post is the latter. A little of my life lately basically.

First of all, if you are an Instagram person, you can check out a day in my life if you go to my IG stories. I recently discovered these and decided to video moments throughout my day yesterday. They delete after 24 hours I believe, so you should be able to catch most of them. It was a day the boys were in school for a few hours.

I feel like I got a lot done this week with scheduling and calls and such, so that’s nice. I’m ready for a fun weekend! It’s suppose to rain today, which I love. I’m also starting off the day with MOPS and then a hair appointment. We also might go see a movie at the park in our town. So, should be a fun day.

This week I made these mummy dogs and they turned out really cute. I always use the Hebrew National hot dogs…just rolled them up with crescent rolls cut up into strips and baked.

This is random, but thought I would share an example of my kid’s lunch. One of my boys is in a peanut free room so we can’t do PBJ’s (our go-to last year), so we’ve done more deli meat. My most popular post to date is my Toddler Meal Ideas post…I’ve been randomly taking pictures of food I make for my kids, but I need to wrangle them altogether and share an updated post. Beckham is a pretty good eater, but Maddox is very picky. Some nights he’ll go to bed just having drank his milk. It’s frustrating and I’m hoping he’ll explore more when he’s a bit older.

An early morning favorite for me…sitting with my youngest while he guzzles his milk. He’s also been saying a lot more lately which is encouraging (he’s 2 yrs. 3 months). He still mostly whines/cries for stuff (which drives me crazy), so I’m pumped about more talking.

Sorry if this is a repeat for you Instagram followers, but one of my favorite parts of the day, if not my favorite, is after my nightly cleaning routine. I shared it in my Kitchen Makeover post I blogged on Wednesday.

Not much else going on here, just a soccer game tomorrow and family time. We are going to go to our first members class at church on Sunday, so we’ll see how it goes. I think we might go to the Pumpkin patch on Sunday as well. Have a great weekend and next Friday should be my Giveaway, so keep an eye out for that!

The mummy dogs are so fun!!

My daughter is almost seven, and she’s still a VERY picky eater. Most nights she has either Annie’s mac and cheese - white cheddar shells, only - chicken nuggets, plain pasta, or a peanut butter and banana sandwich. The hard part is that there are some things, like cheeseburgers, that she’ll eat at home or at most restaurants, but won’t eat at friends’ houses or the school cafeteria. The good news is that she eats lots of raw veggies, and most kinds of fruit.

    Have a great weekend!
