Are you tired of seeing my posts everyday yet? I’m almost done, I promise. This has motivated me to start a calendar and organize my post ideas so I’ll stay more on top of it. Today’s post for the Blog Everyday in May Challenge is “Something someone told you about yourself that you’ll never forget (good or bad).”
That’s easy.
I was probably 11 or 12 years old. I had just joined a club team (back then you started after 10 yrs. old) and my soccer coach (an amazing coach and one of my favorites), told my parents, “She is very coachable. If I show her, not only does she learn it, she learns it quickly.” So technically, he didn’t tell me (although he told me plenty of other positive things), but the words came from his mouth to my ears.
That stuck with me the rest of my life, especially in my soccer career. Any skill we were taught, I believed I could master it and master it quickly. When it comes to my work and personal life, I still believe that. I’m persistent by nature, but having heard this as a little girl, makes me that much more determined. Even though Coach Bruno may not have known what he instilled in me, I’m thankful he told my parents that.

So special!! Those sorts of words have the ability to carry through so many moments in life. Sounds like an amazing coach 🙂
