I’m 37 weeks 2 days posting this…
How far along? 37 weeks
Total weight gain/loss? 32 pounds total (2 pounds this week)
How big is baby? Size of a winter melon. He’s full term now. I had my sonogram about a week ago and he’s measuring 7 pounds 11 ounces (eeek!!!). And about 20 inches. Beckham measured about the same at his 37 week appt. and was born a week and a half later at 7 pounds 9 ounces, so I don’t think he’ll be as big as they say, but we’ll see.
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep? Very hard to stay comfortable and waking about every 3-4 hours to use the restroom and multiple times to get situated.
Fitness? Walking places is working out enough.
Best moment this week? Had TWO baby showers this past weekend! They were awesome!
Miss anything? I’m really ready for the swelling to go away. It’s definitely been the most challenging part of this pregnancy. I realized, the heat is probably what is making it worse this time than last when I had B in November.
Food cravings? I have the worst cravings…sugar!
Anything making you queasy or sick? No.
Current Symptoms? The major symptoms are swelling and discomfort in my belly (he feels so low). I’m pretty sure I’m waddling at this stage, which I NEVER did with B. I also got a yeast infection (TMI I know) and was just saying how happy I was that I didn’t get one this pregnancy (got 2 last time). I’m hoping it’s cleared today when I see my doctor. It was.
Belly button in or out? Out.
Wedding rings on or off? Off.
Mood? I actually feel very calm right now. I still have tons I’d like done before baby gets here, but now that my showers are done and Ryan is officially off from work right now, I don’t have any anxiety about rushing to get to the hospital or rearranging things. My mom and mother-in-law are both off from work (my MIL retired from being a school nurse this year) and my mom is a Kindergarten teacher, so it’s her summer. It’s nice timing with everything.

So cute! I love that your documenting up until the very end, that isn't easy to do! 🙂 Your heart will melt when the boys see each other, and their bond will never be stronger. Its the best. I felt the same way before I had our 2nd, and it all disappears once they are here! We planned on having daddy go back home to pick up our oldest to bring him to visit his new brother so that it was their special thing. Then afterwards he took B to a bounce house and had a daddy date with him, so that the family visiting and mommy and daddy not being at home wasn't so overwhelming. We also had a special big brother toy picked out for him (super cheap) when he got to the hospital. You will love it, Im so excited for you!

Thanks for the encouraging words…now I'm super excited for Beckham to meet his little brother. I guess I haven't imagined that moment yet. Having a present ready for him is a good idea.

Olivia, no it doesn't sound weird at all about having just the one little one. Before I had my son it was my daughter & myself. I enjoyed every moment of just her & I. My two children are 3 years apart. But one I had my son it was wonderful to have another little person. I still have special time with each child on an individual basis and special time with both of them. It will work out for you, you shall see.
