It’s been a couple weeks since my last challenge. My challenge was to workout at home and I had a heel injury (I guess…still unsure what it was) that prevented me from doing much. Walking was a challenge. Anyway, I think I nailed finding a GREAT workout at home that will burn some major calories and is short enough to do when the little one is napping (so I also have time to clean).
So I’ve been following this chick for a few years now, but have preferred working out in the gym doing weights. As you know, I can’t really spend time there anymore (a certain 16 month old boy doesn’t allow it), so finding these workouts made me happy.
Basically this girl, Zuzana, works out about 20 minutes a day with HIGH intensity exercises. They usually consist of 3-5 exercises, with 3-4 rounds. She calls them ZWOW workouts. She currently has about 60 workouts on her website, free to use (she’s still making more as we speak)! She does a video so you can see how to perform the workouts and even do them with her (although, good luck). You might say “20 minutes? That’s it?” I’d say her body persuades me that 20 minutes is enough. You can click on her picture to get to her website of workouts. She also shares what she eats. She has a Facebook page that’s informative too. When I’m at the gym, I know what to do, but at home, I need someone telling me what to do…I have very little motivation in my home to workout, so structure and quickness is key!
I’ve decided to do her workouts in order, starting with ZWOW #1. My plan is to do one workout a day, unless I can’t move the next day, in which case I will run on the treadmill or walk outside with Beckham. I say that because after the FIRST workout, I couldn’t move my upper body for two days. And I even modified some of the workouts/times. I about died when I did the first workout. The burpees killed me!
