My goodness, it’s been crazy around here. I simply could not post my Ask Me Monday post this week as I’ve been trying to come up for air since this past weekend. It has been non-stop since Friday and I’m simply surviving at this point.
I’m linking up today to share what’s been going on lately!
WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
The last week of the month is always usually using up food in our house, so pretty boring. We’ve also eaten out a lot this month or at whatever event we’ve been at. But here are some things we have eaten this month.
Sloppy Joes
Baked Chicken Tacos
Orange Chicken and Fried Rice (from Trader Joes)
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
I’m a sucker for going back through old Facebook videos and I spent one night going through some of Beckham when he was Maddox’s age (2). I can’t believe he’s so big now!
WHAT I’M LOVING:
Pre-school! I love being with my kiddos, but it’s amazing everything you can get done in a few hours without kids!
I’m also loving watching Beckham play soccer. And when he’s waiting his turn he might be found on the wall tube thing 🙂
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
September flew by and we are simply just surviving here. So many family get togethers this month, my sister’s baby shower, getting back into pre-school schedules, starting MOPS again, and on and on.
This is a blurry picture (my niece has the good one on her phone), but this is me and my sisters (older sis, Mabry, on the left and younger sis, Cami, in the middle) at Cami’s baby shower. She’s due in December, but came here for a wedding, so we threw her a shower while she was here!
My dentist appointment tomorrow. It’s going to be a mess! That’s what I get for not going for 2+ years.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
The weather of course! I just decorated for Fall yesterday and I’m officially in the spirit, now that the weather is a bit cooler! I decorated almost exactly as I did last year…you can see the post here.
Next month, I get to have a mini girls weekend for a local conference, so I’m pumped about that!
WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:
Yep, I’m really not reading much when I hop into bed at 2:00 or 3:00 am! I did finish 7 Habits of Highly Effective People this month.
My shows right now are Dancing with the Stars and The Voice.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
It’s funny, I’m literally listening to Carrie Underwood as I type this. I always listen to Meghan Trainor on Pandora as well. I’ve been listening to a lot of Podcasts when I do cardio at the gym as well. Carrie’s concert was amazing last week!
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Workout clothes 🙂 I did bust out my skinny jeans and booties this week at a girls night out…but have no pictures of it because I just don’t take pictures of myself in clothes.
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
B has a soccer game…this will be the first one Ryan is able to go to, so that will be exciting. I’ve been dying for him to sit with me and watch him. Other than that, I’m going to SLEEP…at least 8 hours that is! Knowing us, we’ll probably invite someone over on Saturday or Sunday night for dinner!
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
October always seems to be busy once we get into it. I’m not obsessed with Halloween or anything, but do enjoy seeing the kids dress up and trick or treat. We have a couple of parties next month and I have a women’s conference with a couple of girlfriends, so that will be fun! I am really looking forward to Texas getting into the “Fall” spirit!
WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
I’m tired! Oh wait, that’s not new! Sometimes, I have it together like I talked about here, but let me assure you, right now is not one of those times 🙂
Bonus Question: What is your favorite Fall recipe?
My favorite recipe is the most amazing taco soup from my friend Amie! It’s ridiculously good! I came across this really good post with 23 slow cooker soup recipes! I can’t wait to make some of them.
Happy Hump Day! We’re off to the dentist for the boys!

Good luck at the dentist! My husband once waited seven years to go!

Sounds like you are super busy – I hope it will slow down a bit!! Weird question – I love the green shirt you had on in the picture with your sisters and was wondering where you got it. I’m looking for some longer shirts like that, but it’s hard getting out to shop much during the day. Hopefully you can get caught up on some sleep this weekend! –Sarah 🙂

Sarah,
I got it on Jane.com, but the seller was Ruby Claire Boutique. You can search for that on Jane.com or google that shop and see if the shirt is available there (if not found on Jane). It’s called a 1/2 sleeve tunic top in Kelly green. Hope that helps. I love the shirt! I think I got a small…it runs big.
