Hey Friends! I’m linking up today to share a little bit about what’s been going on lately! The last WUW I did was in August, so I’m glad to be doing another one.
WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK:
The last two nights we have had take out because we have had something each night and I’m just not on top of it to cook when we get home at 6:15pm and baby wants to eat. But for the rest of the week I have the following things planned for meals:
-Chili (see my recipe here) with super moist cornbread
-BBQ chicken thighs with a baked potato and veggies
-Fish with rice
-Spaghetti and meatballs
-Breakfast (Kodiak cakes, eggs, and bacon)
WHAT I’M REMINISCING ABOUT:
The first year of each of my boys’ lives. Going through the first year of Brielle’s life makes me remember when my boys were this little. It often feels like this stage will never end, but soon I’m sure I’ll be looking back wondering where the time went.
WHAT I’M LOVING:
I’d have to say I’m loving that Brielle is sleeping fully through the night. We’re at an 8/9pm bedtime and she wakes up around 7:30-8am. She is by far my best sleeper at this stage praise the Lord. She also goes to sleep with little help throughout the day.
Not sure if you can view this video, but this link is a short clip of me having to wake her up –> IMG_1372
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO:
Literally everything. Beckham going to school, soccer practice once a week, a game on the weekend, and playing with as many people as he can in between (that kid is so social). Maddox is 3! It’s official that this is my least favorite age. So we are practicing not throwing a fit or whining about every.little.thing. Lord help me. Other than that he’s resumed his normal preschool schedule. On a positive note, he plays really well independently which is great with a baby. And Brielle is keeping me super busy with all the 1 million baby tasks throughout the day. February is the last month Ryan refs and it’s also my birthday month. Ryan and I will go on our first date since having Brielle in OCTOBER (well, really before then). I am working on getting my Easy shop back open and generally my life back together. Kidding.
WHAT I’M DREADING:
Any evening or Saturday without Ryan.
WHAT I’M WORKING ON:
I’m working on something fun! I don’t want to say anything until I’ve officially announced it, but I’m hoping to have that out this week. I’m also working on decluttering stuff in our house and getting rid of stuff in our garage.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT:
I’m excited about my birthday coming up as it means some much needed fun that doesn’t involve kids. Love my kids, but it’s been a while since I’ve done anything with adults only.
I’m also excited about making money again. And making something for you guys to add to this blog. I’m also excited that Brielle is getting closer to that 6 month age. The months closer to a year are fun!
WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING:
I’m watching This Is Us and The Bachelor.
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO:
I’m listening to an app from my church called The Porch. It’s sermons on all sorts of topics. The last couple I have listened to were about Laziness/Discipline, Contentment/Entitlement, and Pride. So good. I listen to the as I get ready in the morning and when it’s just Brielle and I awake.
I also love listening to Lauren Daigle on Pandora.
WHAT I’M WEARING:
Bleh, I don’t even want to talk about this. I’m living in yoga pants and anything baggy on top. Lots of weight to lose and let’s just say I’ll be happy to end breastfeeding so I can fit into my shirts again. Thankfully, it’s winter here. I’m hoping it stays cold for a couple ore months.
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND:
The boys each have their last soccer games. We are also going over to friends house to watch the Super Bowl. I’m excited to see them as we don’t get to see the often and they haven’t met Brielle. And of course, Super Bowl food (haha, I guess that doesn’t go well with what I mentioned above).
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH:
Like I mentioned above, my birthday is next month so that will be fun. I’m also excited for some lag time between sports so we’re not doing practice or games for a couple weeks. Next up is baseball for Beckham. I’m also pumped to check off some more appointments next month. And Brielle turns 4 months on the 6th.
WHAT ELSE IS NEW:
Nothing new to post. I did get a haircut yesterday and some pretty blonde highlights. Woohoo for a fresher do!
Bonus Questions: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SOUP RECIPE?
If you like Taco Soup at all, you MUST try this one. I got this recipe from my friend Amie several years ago and it’s so good. A couple of the ingredients are kind of different and make the soup legit!
I can’t wait to read the other WUW posts and get some more soup recipes! I love soup and have pinned some really good ones to my Pinterest Board – Soups.
Happy Hump Day. P.S. If you want to see more daily shenanigans, follow me on Instagram…I post a lot of Instastories as well. IG name –> @oliviacsnyder
