This has been a rough week for us as we lost my grandmother on Saturday. I made it to my aunt’s house where she has been living (where she was with her 3 daughters and the hospice nurse) just moments before she passed. Yesterday we had a beautiful service for her and we are at peace knowing she is in the hands of God. Needless to say, it’s been an emotional week.
I’ve also been getting ready for Maddox’s 3rd birthday party, which is tomorrow evening! I JUST went out yesterday evening and purchased some stuff for his party. Besides the invites, this is the first time I’ve prepared for this party. It’s at a park and should be low key, but I’m usually not this last minute. I will be sharing all the details, of course, next week! I’d say I can’t believe he’s turning 3, but he’s always seemed older to me. He’s really big and always hanging out with his older brother.
I had my 24 week appointment on Tuesday and things are trucking along quickly. After next appointment, I go every 2 weeks!!! I don’t have an updated picture because I keep forgetting. Ugh. But boy do I feel large. I had no plans on changing her nursery (from Maddox’s), but now I’m itching to completely change it into all things girly since this is our first girl and last child! We’ll see. I’m in love with this picture…
I’ll be pinning away girly rooms on my Pinterest. The name in the picture below caught my eye as those are two names I LOVE for a girl. (we have no name picked out if you were wondering)
I’ve linked the two images above so you can follow the source.
I’m also selling a ton of the boys’ clothes at a consignment sale coming up, so my mother in law and I will start to organize and tag the items for the sale. It will feel so good to get all these clothes out of the house.
Today, I have a hair appointment and am slowly going back darker. I’m not sure if I’ll go back full brown just yet, but want to near that way and see how I like it. Here is a picture of me with brown hair after we got married.
House updates: It’s been a long time since I’ve updated y’all on my house. We have done a ton, but there a few small touches I’d like done before I show you, but I’m hoping to update the blog with our new floors and decor. It’s like a new house.
Update on finances: I have so many thoughts on finances lately. And I feel I’ve veered away from frugality as of late, but the more I talk about it on my blog, the more it happens in real life too. We NEED to be frugal/prudent and I might as well share it here too.
GIVEAWAY – I’ve been working so hard on new products while still keeping up with orders in my Etsy shop. And I want to give some away. I’m hoping to have a giveaway for y’all tomorrow. I’m planning on a shirt and mug giveaway. I’ve been having some technical difficulties on my blog, so I’m hoping that doesn’t interfere.
This is a shirt I made and I’m in love with the comfort and quality.
And you guys have seen this before, but probably my favorite mug right now…definitely doesn’t help with the needing to be frugal part of my life, does it?
I just wanted to share some random thoughts today and should be back tomorrow for Friday favorites. I’m also hoping to document a day in the life today. Those are always fun!
P.S. If you are subscribed to my blog, will you let me know if you get an email whenever I post on my blog? I don’t think it does, but curious from y’all.

Bless your heart. (I really say that all.the.time) I’m sorry about the loss of your grandmother. I’ve been to 2 funerals in the last 6 days. I always seem to leave thinking I wish I’d know him/her better. I sure hope people feel that way when my time comes. Is that a weird thought? Probably so, but true. XOXO

Funerals always make me think about stuff like that and what it will be like when I pass. They also bring a sense of what’s really important in life. I’m sorry you’ve been to 2 funerals. That is tough!

I’m so sorry for your loss, Olivia.
While it’s not very frugal, I don’t blame you for redecorating the nursery. Girl stuff is a lot cuter/prettier – says the mom of a daughter. 🙂
I’ve signed up for your emails at least twice, but I’ve never received them.
