Friday Favorites

This is the first Friday I’m following a more structured “Friday Favorites” and listing my Favorite moment, meal/recipe, product, IG or blog follow, frugal tip, book/quote/verse, outfit, and Pin from Pinterest.  Feel free to join along as well.  Sometimes it’s easier to have structured post.  I’ll make a graphic to go along with it when I get a chance.

FAVORITE MOMENT
My favorite moment was when I ran 3 miles non stop.  Look at the difference a week and some goals did!  I haven’t run in 3 days due to Ryan’s surgery, but I should be running as this is posted this morning.  I’m sure I’ll be dying!

FAVORITE MEAL/RECIPE
This Corn Avocado and Bacon salad was great.  It’s supposed to be cold (and I ate it that way too), but I actually like it hot as well.  I told my friend Kristen about the salad as soon as I made it and she sent me a picture of hers.  Doesn’t that look so good?!

FAVORITE PRODUCT
I haven’t tried this yet, but I’m excited to try it.  I’ve always loved Sinful Colors nail polish and when I was at the store, I saw this new “Salon Shine” with Gel Tech.  So I bought a color and the top coat.  I’ve tried other brands that I did not like at all (didn’t think they were any different than regular polish), so I’m interested to see how this fairs.  Has anyone tried this?  The color is Wisp.

FAVORITE INSTAGRAM/BLOG FOLLOW
I’ve mentioned her blog before, but I really enjoy The Larson Lingo.  That corn salad above is from her blog.  Her pictures are always so good…I’m so jealous of the California weather.  Her blog posts are quality and she throws super cute parties.  She’s also training for a race (half marathon), so I like seeing her updates on her training (via her Instagram).

FAVORITE FRUGAL TIP/EXPERIENCE
One thing we do often to save money is pack food/meals for the kids when we go out to eat.  Every time we order Beckham a meal, he doesn’t eat it, and Maddox can eat off mine or eats his own as well.  Ryan and I went to a Mexican restaurant today (because we had a coupon for free queso and dessert) and this is what I packed for both boys.  Maddox ate a slice of chicken and tortilla as well.  Beckham did as well.

FAVORITE BOOK / BIBLE VERSE / QUOTE
I got this book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing
 in the mail yesterday and I already love it.  I’ve always struggled with clutter and really feel better when my house is simple and clean.  Less is more.  I can’t wait to read the rest.

FAVORITE OUTFIT
I love this outfit for summer.  Teal shorts and a loose white top.  I just need some self tanner as to not blind anyone with my legs.

FAVORITE PIN
This one is going to be hard for me to narrow down each week, but I found this quote on Pinterest and really love it.  Sometimes I dance around doing things to make sure I get them done perfectly when I just need to start doing it.

And if you’re little on is starting school soon, head over to my shop and getcha one of these signs.  You can get First Day, Last Day, or both.  And just print on your home computer and frame (or not) for your kiddo on the first day of school.
