Friday Favorites

This has been a an exhausting week with Ryan’s recovery.  My duties increased and my help disappeared.  It’s SOOO hot outside that it’s almost not even safe to do anything outdoors, which means we’re stuck inside.  Beckham has developed this tantrum that is so embarrassing, I don’t even want to venture in public.  Needless to say, I’m beyond ready for September.  Regardless, I still have some favorites from the week! 🙂  I’m still following my structured Friday Favorites.  And you can find my review of the Sinful Colors gel polish at the end of the post.

Friday Favorites

FAVORITE MOMENT
Like I mentioned, it’s been really hot here, so we busted out our bounce house in the living room this week.  I think the money we spent on this was justified in this week alone.  I would definitely recommend having one of these to own  (got ours from Walmart) for really hot or cold days.

FAVORITE MEAL/RECIPE
I have had ZERO desire to cook food this week.  But this was a pretty tasty breakfast after my run on Wednesday.  A slice of cinnamon raisin Ezekial bread toasted with peanut butter on it and a hard boiled egg with salt and pepper.

I’ve also been obsessed with iced coffee this summer and this one is one of my favorites!

FAVORITE PRODUCT
An awesome reader suggested some Danskin running shorts at Walmart so I checked them out when I was getting some things the other day.  I came across this AMAZING pair that had a spandex liner under the shorts.  I don’t ever normally get those kinds of shorts, but since I’ve been running more, they’re super nice and no chaffing 🙂  The best part is they were $7.00!!!!  I need to look for some more in different colors next time I’m there.

FAVORITE INSTAGRAM/BLOG FOLLOW
I love following @lysaterkeurst on IG.  I’ve read The Best Yes by her, which I loved.  And she’s such an encourager.

FAVORITE FRUGAL TIP/EXPERIENCE
I cannot wait to share this frugal tip in detail with you guys next week.  This is 40 pounds of grass fed 93/7 lean ground beef, packaged in 1 pound measurements and flattened for easy thawing.  We save lots of money by purchasing this way.  I’ll let you know where we get it from next week in a post of it’s own (chicken as well).

FAVORITE BOOK / BIBLE VERSE / QUOTE
I just started creating watercolor prints and I started with one of my favorite quotes!  I need this on my desk!

FAVORITE OUTFIT
I pretty much hate clothing this time of year, so this outfit which you saw above is what I’ve been wearing lately.  Anything comfortable that I can sweat in.

FAVORITE PIN
Try to refrain from jumping through the screen and eating this burger.  This is from the one and only Pioneer Woman.  A spin on a regular burger.  This is the Supreme Pizza Burger.  I will be making this asap!  Recipes are the #1 thing I pin on Pinterest that I actually use.  Pinterest is my cookbook.

And one more thing.  Last week I mentioned the new gel nail polish by Sinful Colors.  I used it this week so I thought I’d share how I liked it.  I will say that it is much better than the other gel polishes I’ve used and WAY better for the price.  It wasn’t $1.98 like I thought (cost of their normal polishes), but it was $2.98. These are the results after 1 week.  They didn’t start chipping till Day 4 (and the chipping looked like my pinky in the pic below)!!!  I am extremely hard on my nails, so this was pretty good.  Overall, if you need a couple more days of good nail color, definitely recommend.  Otherwise, their regular polish is just fine.

Have a great weekend!  We have Ryan’s high school reunion on Saturday…yay for date night!  And celebrating my dad’s birthday on Sunday at our house.

That iced coffee looks so yummy! Have you tried PW's iced coffee with sweetened condensed milk? To. Die. For. Definitely a treat, not an every day drink!

I love the Pioneer Woman! I know that any recipe she posts will be delicious. Your post a while back inspired me to make Fridays my cleaning day! Got off to a good start by doing the weeding I've been putting off (MUCH cooler today!) and sweeping my front porch that I've also been avoiding! Have a good weekend!
