I can’t tell you how excited I am about THIS Friday! As we speak, our floors are being installed. We are getting rid of our 17 year old white builder grade carpet, along with the tile in the kitchen and replacing it with laminate. We are also getting new baseboards where the laminate will be, as well as in some other parts of the house! New furniture and paint come along with this, so I’m in Heaven right now. If there is one thing I would go into debt for, it’s my house! Just kidding, but that’s how much I love home decor.
I will be knee deep in cleaning, organizing, and painting this weekend and through the beginning of next week. Our biggest need is for a new entertainment table for our TV. Getting on with Friday favorites, here are the two I liked the best at Nebraska Furniture Mart (by the way, that store is so cool…it was my first time in, and I took both boys…and we survived thanks to iPads).
I love the one on the bottom and it was only around $160.
And this one was my favorite and was selling for around $420. Much more expensive, but I still think that’s pretty good for this size and quality. I’m hoping Ryan goes for this one 😉
This cutie. Maddox. He melts my heart. He was just what I needed after having Beckham. Beckham is going to do amazing things in the future, but I have my work cut out for me to harness his energy/passion in the right direction. I had a rough day yesterday with B and then this little one reminded me, I’m not completely failing at motherhood. It’s just personality and my job to guide that. I snagged this pic at Sonic when we were waiting and thought it depicted his sweet nature.
My mother in law gave me these for Easter for Baby Girl Snyder and it still hasn’t sunk in yet. Aren’t they cute?! I have already been so blessed by some of my friends and their willingness to give me their girl clothes! This girl should be well taken care of.
This is a picture of our empty living room before the workers came over and started installing new floors. I’m excited to show you some before and after. This is definitely a favorite of mine. My husband also sold his speakers. I could NOT stand them, but he really loved them, so I am extremely grateful he decided to sell them and update this room a bit. I’ve gotta make it look great so he doesn’t miss them too much. Hopefully he can use that money to buy a nice TV.
This nail polish is a new favorite color for me. It’s the perfect Summer color.
This tanning product is my absolute favorite that I’ve ever tried. I’ve tried quite a bit. It goes on very evenly with the mitt and you can see where it’s going on (since it’s a bronzer) so you don’t miss spots. I’m very pale and got the lightest color and I look super tan. It lasts really long (about 4-5 days before wearing off) and it wears off gradually, not streaky or spotty. *I try not to use self tanners when I’m pregnant, but wanted to get something on my legs and arms for these first few days of shorts*
I also get the this mitt, which I honestly think is the key! The mitt makes it go on evenly and smooth.
Okay, so if you like raspberry, you have to get this. When I used to teach, one of my co-teachers used to get this pink looking drink from Starbucks and it always looked good. So, I texted her and asked her what it was. I ordered it, but it wasn’t pink…still tasted really good. An Iced Non-fat Raspberry Vanilla Latte. I get decaf right now. A nice change up to my usual caramel macchiato.
My favorite way to work…in a cute coffee shop with my favorite drink in a random mug. If you’re local, this is Snug on the Square and I’m drinking a spiced chai tea latte (it is literally my favorite drink ever).
End of year is approaching and if you’re looking for a gift for your child’s teacher, these are a few of my most popular printables. I love pairing this with a gift card. Speaking from experience, teachers LOVE gift cards the most. The printables give it an extra personal touch. I also have some end of the year photo props. Check them out here.
And lastly, here are some pictures from our Easter weekend. We went to my parents on Saturday and then to my in laws on Sunday after church.
It was a fun Easter. If you wanna see some updates to the house sooner than on the blog, follow me on Instagram (@oliviacsnyder). I also try to post Instagram stories as well. Have a great weekend.
