I went to the doctor yesterday! Things are good! He moved head down. Yay! Of course he could move again, but I’m hoping he took his final position so I don’t get scared closer to the due date! I’m even happier because he should be easier to see now without his feet in his face when we go back to get a 3D photo/video. I’m lucking out because I’m getting a “doctor’s visit” every week since last week. So I have next Wednesday sonogram (33 weeks), 34 week check up, 36 week check up and then every week after that! Then he’ll be here! I’m getting super pumped.
School is getting hard because I can’t move around as easily. My poor kids have to pick everything up off the ground for me. They’re so helpful though, especially the girls! The bathroom breaks are killing me! Three and a half hours is too long to hold it. I just wish I could sit down the whole day too. I wish I could start maternity leave at 36 weeks, but I know I’ll want those weeks on the other end when I have to go back and leave my little one.
I have my first big shower this weekend at my mom’s house! I can’t wait. I’ve worked hard on my registry, which I hated doing by the way. I don’t know what a little baby needs. Especially when I keep hearing “your boy may not like that, but mine loved it” or “mine hated that diaper/bottle, but did well with this one.” I’m a planner, so this is a little hard. Despite all that, registering makes me want him here so badly! I can’t wait to feed him, bathe him, cook with him, play with him, rock him, and teach him so many new things!
Something that has been so exciting for me these last few weeks is that one of my best friends, Kristen, is having a baby a few months after me. I went to her gender reveal party tonight and found out she’s having a GIRL! Congrats Kristen and Brett. I’ve been waiting for her to announce it so I could finally say something! I am so stinkin excited we’re having babies so close together. It is going to be so fun hanging out with out babies together! And of course I think it would be super cute if they “liked each other.” At least they’ll be baby buddies!
And on another happy note, I took the day off to get some things done in his room and finish our office. We had to move some things around and got some new furniture for the office so it’s been a work in progress the last couple of months. My brother came over today and helped me hang the curtains, some mirrors, and the frames above his bed. Our hutch came in a month early so Ryan put that together. All I need now is the recliner and bedding, which are both being provided by my wonderful mother-in-law! I’m really liking his room! Simple and masculine! Now if we could just finalize a name!
