WHERE IS THE TIME GOING?
These weeks are going by super fast and I know exactly why…….being a teacher! I don’t have time to think of anything besides teaching (at least for 5 days of the week…and that’s on a good week). It’s to the point where I’m getting a little frustrated (more on that later).
No picture this week just yet. I’ve been sick all week and look extremely bad. Plus Ryan has been gone the last few nights when I need it taken and I don’t have any energy left to prop up the camera myself.
I went to my much anticipated doctor’s appointment! This was week 28! I really look forward to these appointments because I get to see if the baby is ok and hear his little heart beating. During this appointment, I had to first stop by the lab and get my blood drawn to test for diabetes. Well, I had to run up to my doc’s office and grab an extra sheet since I forgot the one I received last appointment to have with me. I came from school, so I was in a hurry and forgot to grab my folder with everything in it. I swear “pregnancy brain” should actually be called “teacher brain.” My memory goes to pit from August to June…add being pregnant on top of that and I’m surprised I remember to wake up in the morning and actually go to work. Anyway, back to my appointment. I got my blood drawn and then went up to my doctor’s office. Did the normal routine visit. I’m gaining a good 5 pounds each time I go in. The nurse is so nice because she makes me feel so good about my weight gain. I know that’s not bad, but it is to me since I know some of that is my bad eating habits lately. No complaints though…if I was extremely upset about it, then I would actually do something about it! Back to doc…so I met with my doctor and he checked my measurements and listened to the heart beat. I was a bit concerned with my “growth” since I’ve been told I’m small for 28 weeks. So I asked him and he said I was within the national average, so that made me feel better! I actually feel huge, but I guess that is to be expected. And of course hearing the heart beat was awesome, but never long enough! I then got a shot (some vaccine) and another shot for my blood type. So I was pricked to death a lot yesterday. Luckily I’m ok with shots.
I will now start going to the doctor every 2 weeks! Wow! I guess that means Baby Snydes is almost here. Next visit (30 weeks), I get a sonogram!!! I can’t wait to see him. Ryan and I are going to schedule a 3D sonogram soon so we can see what he might look like. I can’t wait to do that! That is my biggest curiosity right now…what will he look like??? I really hope he looks like Ryan, but I know I’ll love his little chubby face no matter who he takes after!
As far as symptoms/feelings, I feel very pregnant! Bending down is getting harder. Turning in bed is harder (and getting into bed). Shaving is harder. I’m pretty sure I’ll have hairy legs the entire month of November (at least it’s cooler). I’m really tired! I use to get about 6 hours of sleep and be ok all day, even after school. I have been getting about 8 now and I’m really tired around 4:00. I’m trying to sit more throughout the day, but my occupation does not really lend itself to that much! Baby Snydes moves so differently now compared to a month or two ago. It’s more rolling over and such. He does still kick, but it feels like he’s kicking my down towards my butt internally…it’s really weird to explain, but I can’t describe it. I literally can feel him move my bladder also. Watching my belly move is still the best part!
I KEEP FORGETTING I’M PREGNANT:
I have finally realized, I’m not just myself anymore…I have another person with me! I can’t sleep the amount of time I want (I need more hours…I can’t live off of 6 hours each night). I can’t move the way I want to move. I can’t get upset because I’m stressed. My body gave it to me hard this weekend! I got a sinus infection. I know it was because my body was run down and couldn’t fight off the germs. My throat hurt, head hurt, and now I can’t really breathe or talk well. Again, my occupation does not lend itself to not talking so this has been hard! So needless to say, I have to take it easy and get my sleep. Lesson learned!
Life is not the easiest right now for reasons I can’t really express on the blog, but I know God is in control and all will be just as planned soon! Could always be worse though. So thankful for family, real friends, and Ryan! That’s what keeps me going!
