With Mother’s Day and end of the year teacher gifts, my shop has been keeping me really busy lately during nap time and “after mom hours” but it’s good income so coffee it is! So that’s been a lot of life lately for me.
Beckham’s preschool ends this month and he will enter Pre-K this Fall. That means I have one more year at home with him. It’s making me realize I need to savor these days at home. Although B is one that will thrive with lots of activities, I want to soak up the freedom of being home and not rushing out the door. I know I’ll miss it (even though it’s hard at times). So we’ve been doing that some this month! Here’s what we’ve been up to lately!
This picture is hard to see, but I caught these two boys playing WITH each other after bath time. I thoroughly enjoy watching these two brothers! Two freshly washed toddlers in pj’s!
Little dude was “talking on the phone” with his neighbor. Imaginary play is the best!
Daddy was gone last weekend so we did what we normally do when he’s gone on a Friday night…ordered pizza!
A much needed girls night celebrating Cheri’s birthday! Downtown for food and drinks!
Last Saturday the boys played in B’s room while I sipped on coffee! I love slow mornings like these!
They love play-dough, but boy is it messy!
Headed off to school!
Usually when the boys are at school I get work done at home, but I really need to go grocery shopping! This was pure bliss, shopping in Sprouts without children!
We walked to the park on Wednesday and had a picnic lunch…this guy is getting so big! He’ll be 2 next month.
I took this picture later that day of Maddox eating some frozen yogurt and realized the irony…we were sitting across from the gym I did NOT go to that day and instead eating frozen yogurt!
Despite our day off from the gym, I’ve been going a lot lately. Yesterday, I took this picture at the gym to share these amazing pants for working out (they have mesh material to make it cooler) and realized later that night that I had worn them backwards the entire workout and evening. I kept wondering why they were lower in the back than the front…that would explain it. How embarrassing! I have no brain anymore. None!
The boys wanted a smoothie after the gym because #alwaysstarving so I whipped up this one with frozen fruit, a banana, plain greek yogurt, Honest juice, with a big helping of spinach! They sucked this dry within minutes! And Beckham’s disgusting shirt is Reason #1 I do not purchase expensive clothes for my boys. He had already spilled chocolate on it BEFORE I dropped them off at school.
As dinner was cooking last night, we played outside. He loves climbing trees! Beckham is not the easiest kid, but these glimpses of his adventurous spirit always encourage me. God gave me two very different kiddos, but I know he gave me this precious one for a specific reason. I have learned a lot about myself and can’t wait to see who he becomes as an adult.
We also played some baseball! I have a cute video on my Instagram of B hitting the ball “far.” Happy Friday and Happy Mother’s Day!

Where are your pants from?! I’m looking for a good pair that don’t break the bank! 🙂

They are from Target. They were around $20. That was on sale (I think originally $25 or something).

At least froyo is healthier than ice cream! 😉 That’s how I justify eating all the time!

I tell myself that too 🙂

Love the pants on backwards!
And had so much fun on our night out celebrating Cheri!
