This was an extremely busy weekend for me. Ryan was out of town and I had a wedding Friday night, two baby showers on Saturday for myself, and a birthday celebration in the evening on Saturday. I have been looking forward to this weekend, as I will be able to relax and feel somewhat ready if the baby comes. Ryan is officially off on summer break, which is the best part about this baby being born in June (I really did not want a summer birthday for any of my kids). He is still busy with some reffing events and summer school, but it’s still time off. Beckham stayed with his Gramma overnight and this was a picture they took while he was there…he is OBSESSED with their dog! It’s no surprise I’m not a dog person…at all, but this is the cutest picture ever! This was the only picture I got at the wedding. This wedding was a close family friend of ours through soccer. I started playing soccer with these girls 19 years ago. It was great to see old friends who I spent so much time with! After the wedding, I went home and worked on orders and got ready for the next day that was full of showers and a birthday. It was funny because I woke up the next morning to get ready and finish a few more orders, but I found I had 30 minutes to spare since Beckham was not there. It was a nice, calm morning. My first shower was a Brunch themed shower. My favorite meal is breakfast and two of my best girl friends threw me the most perfect shower. It was classy, laid back, and girly! I love these girls! They both have JUST had babies and still took the time to host a shower for me! So grateful! The shower was at Jennie’s house (girl on far right). And thankfully, Kristen (far left) took tons of pictures for me! After the shower, I ran home to drop off the presents, freshen up, grab my hostess gifts and birthday gift (we celebrated my sister’s birthday afterwards). I was so thankful for my mother-in-law watching B as it was very nice to just be self –centered that day and worry about ME. 🙂 She brought him over to my mom’s house (where the shower was) and my dad then took him to McDonald’s to play. My mom and sister-in-law threw me this family shower at 3:00 with the girls of our family, which is quite a lot. It was a an adorable shower and they put a ton of personal touches into it. One of my best friends came in town as well to celebrate. She’s over 2 hours away…I’m so blessed she took her whole day to see me. They had a cute game where you had to guess which baby/child characteristic was Ryan or I. My little sister won! That sonogram with all those signatures is now in his room. We also had a name suggestion jar since we’re having such a hard time with names! Gift basket from my sister-in-law, Kerry. These are some of the names we are considering, so we had a vote. Bennett (my fav) and Landon (Ryan’s fav) were both the top scorers. My brother took that photo behind the cake and had it done into a canvas for me. My bestie…Brittany! Love her! And then I saw this picture she posted the next morning! 🙂 The hostess with the mostest! They were amazing and ALWAYS make me feel special! It was a great day of showers. We celebrated my little sister’s birthday afterwards with burgers! B was back at the house and it reminded me, I’m pregnant and cannot keep up with a toddler boy! On Sunday, we had a late lunch with my family before my sister and her husband headed back to Louisiana. Ryan got back early evening and took over with Beckham. I spent majority of the day unpacking gifts and organizing the junk out of the baby’s room. This picture was at the very end of the day when I was folding the clean laundry of all his new clothes. I realized, my laundry has just increased, but it’s worth every extra load! We’re almost ready for him to come home! I’ll have a full post on his nursery next month. So blessed by this weekend! I love my friends and family and I’m really glad they like me too 🙂

I commented a couple weeks ago about the swollen feet – and I just had to comment again, as Bennett is what our baby boy will be named! 🙂 Looks like a fun weekend of showers!

Love that love canvas! Where is it from?
joyfullyprudent says
It's from Walmart. I actually get most of my canvases from Walmart or Shutterfly. Walmart really has great quality canvases.

I'm assuming you meant the one in the showers picture with our picture on it. But the LOVE canvas in the nursery is from Shutterfly…I designed the LOVE part and had Shutterfly make it with a 40% off coupon and free shipping (was still like $80). I only order Shutterfly with discounts.
