30 Weeks – A Peek At His Features

30 weeks!  Yay!!!  I’m finally getting towards the end.  Lots to share, but first my pregnancy the last week:
Constant bathroom breaks
Tiredness/Fatigue
Trouble Sleeping
Swelling
Mood swings
Forgetting so many things
Gaining MORE weight each week – gained about 5 pounds the last 2 weeks…yikes!
High Back Pain – don’t think it’s pregnancy related, but bothersome
Movement is so much higher towards my ribs
I have to sit up more often, otherwise he kicks my ribs 🙂

I had my 30 week appointment today.  It was an exciting appt. because I had a sonogram.  Baby Snydes has been very cooperative thus far, but NOT today.  He was all curled up and asleep through the whole thing.  He is also in a position that is a little funny.  His head is up towards my ribs on my right side, with his body shaped like a U.  His butt is on my bladder and his legs are up towards his head on the opposite side (my left).  He’s pretty packed in, so he won’t move too much as far as positions go, but I’m hoping he gets the memo that he can’t come out feet first!
We were able to see some things that gave us a peek at his features.  He has hair all over his head (got this from his mommy).  He had chubby cheeks (from his mommy and daddy).  And he has a HUGE head – as soon as she measured his head, she asked me “Were you a large baby?”  I was like great.  When she measured the rest of his body, it was average, so my son has a big head (got this from his daddy).  I’m hoping he grows into this head.  Ryan was 9.something pounds and I was 7.something.  So our little man has some hair, some chub, and a big head.  I was hoping he was bald like Ryan when he was born, but guess he will be wearing a lot of caps.  🙂  Everything else looked great!  I just can’t wait to hold him.  He is 3.5 pounds and 15 inches long!
I also got the flu shot and blood drawn to check for antibodies against diseases that kiddos might bring to school. 

Next Wednesday, we have our 3D sonogram!!!!  This will be cool to see some more features.  I go back to doctor in 2 weeks!  I still have so much to do to get ready!  Registering for things is overwhelming, but gets me more excited to meet him.  Just bought the material for the bedding!  I really like it and will post some pics of his nursery when that’s all done.
