Last week I shared Week 1 Groceries and meals. Week 2, I did my bulk shopping (which wasn’t a lot) at Aldi. Ryan and I both had some random grocery pick ups at different stores throughout the week as well.
Aldi – $46.88
Target – $17.70
Kroger – $8.77
Trader Joes – $18.46
Market Street – $19.70 (10 pound of lean ground turkey)
Market Street – $7.94 (2 half gallons of Blue Bell ice cream)
TOTAL WEEK 2 – $119.45
So, for the month of February so far, I’ve spent $257.13 (137.68 + 119.45)
I didn’t intend on going to all those places, but I was a little random last week. Market Street had a killer deal on their lean ground turkey (1.97/lb) so we stocked up. They also had Blue Bell on sale so Ryan got 2 cartons of it. If you’re from the South, you know how special Blue Bell is. It’s usually $6-7 per half gallon, so under $4 is a great deal. Below are some pictures from this week’s grocery haul. Part of the cost from Aldi also included food for the Superbowl. We usually consider that an “Entertainment” category, but I didn’t want to separate at checkout and it wasn’t that much anyway. I also bought a couple bags to haul my groceries home in (and can use again).
These were the groceries from Target:
I didn’t get pictures of the other hauls. Below was our menu for the week (I plan and then it usually changes one or two nights). This is what we actually ate:
Monday – Crispy Baked Chicken & Roasted Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts
Tuesday – Frozen Pizza (was not in the mood to cook)
Wednesday – Santa Fe Chicken in Crockpot
Thursday – Scrambled Eggs with hash browns, yogurt with granola, and protein pancakes
Friday – Chickfila
Saturday – My Nephew’s birthday (went out afterwards with parents)
Sunday – Had a huge brunch for Valentines at Rick’s Steakhouse (too stuffed to eat dinner)
So, like I mentioned above, I’ve spent $257.13 for the first two weeks of February! If I average $100 a week, I’m $57 over. I’ll have to shop lightly the next two weeks! Hope you enjoyed seeing my grocery hauls and meal plans! I know it’s helping me 🙂

Thanks for grocery shopping & meal ideas. I hope you don’t mind a suggestion. A good idea would be to write about what products you like that you buy from Aldi. I’ve purchased some good and not so good ones. There 2 ply toilet paper is great, the pizzas pictured above, vanilla extract, and frozen green beans. I tried the snack green beans and didn’t like them at all. Some the cracker brands and cereal were almost inedible. One good thing is that they’ll refund your money if you take something back.

I LOVE the suggestions! I enjoy learning about different products from you guys and will definitely look at different products there! I got the snack green beans too and didn’t really like them. Didn’t know that about the refunding…thanks for sharing

Your photos are making me want to re-visit Aldi! It’s a good 20 minutes from my house, and there are several other grocery stores closer to us. But I could at least do periodic stock-up trips there…

Yes, my Aldi is about 15 minutes away, but we’re getting a new one near us so that will be exciting. I need to visit more and see what I like and don’t like there.
