Spring Cleaning: Working It Wednesday

I love Spring cleaning so much!  The thought of getting every nook and cranny of the house and cleaning it makes my heart happy.  This Spring will be great because we will have brand new floors in almost every room of the house in about 2 weeks.  I’m waiting till the floors are put in to do all my cleaning because there is going to be TONS of dust from tile removal and the carpets.

I have my cleaning schedule though for you so you can see how and what I’ll be doing towards the end of this month.  I like to tackle it room by room. Here is every single task in detail by room (you can also click on the picture below).

The following are my favorite cleaning products and what I use each one for.
Method All Purpose Cleaner (Lime + Sea Salt scent) – I use this cleaner for wiping down most surfaces except bathrooms and wood (I’ll get to those later).  This scent is my absolute favorite…like I want to sniff the counter tops.  I use it daily on the kitchen counters.

Method Daily Wood Spray  – I use this to clean my wood surfaces.  Our breakfast nook table and dining table are both dark wood and get gunk on them from the kids, so I use this to clean.  When I polish my wood, I use either Liquid Gold or Pledge.

Method All Purpose Antibac (wildflower) – I use this for my bathrooms.  I use it on the counters and for the toilet.  And on the ground around the toilet in my boys’ bathroom #becauseboys   I always use paper towels when cleaning the bathrooms so I can throw it away.

Sprayway Glass Cleaner  – I recently discovered this and I love it.  I use this for the windows and mirrors around our house.  It cleans so well, but the only thing I don’t like is that I feel the foam sprays out too much (like too wide)…not a big deal though.  I’ve also used Windex and love that too (not the multisurface kind though).

I’ll have to do another post on just cleaning products I use and how I store them (because that’s almost as important), but these are the 4 main products I use around the house.

The biggest changes we will do in addition to the cleaning is painting and new beds for the boys.  This will also force us to declutter and rearrange.  I will let Maddox continue to sleep in his crib if he rather sleep there, even though he’ll have the bunk bed in Beckham’s room.

BIG MOTIVATOR – I find watching cleaning videos on YouTube really motivates me to clean.  Sounds weird, but try it.  My favorite cleaning girl on is How Jen Does It, but if you just search cleaning house or cleaning routines, you’ll find great videos.

I’m excited to clean up a ton and start fresh for the Spring/Summer.  I most definitely will take some pictures as I go to share.  Realistically, this will take us about a month, but that’s with everything else too.  I’ll try to tackle 1-2 rooms a week.  And I don’t have a set time I do this…mostly on the weekends or in the morning if the kids are playing with each other (which doesn’t happen too long).

I’m linking up today with Erika and Shay for Working It Wednesday.  I can’t wait to read more blog posts about spring cleaning.
