My Organized Purse: Must Have Item for your Purse

What do you get when you combine a pregnant nesting lady and a BUSY mama who needs structure?  Organized projects!!!  I talked about my 2014 projects HERE and how I’ll be tackling them this year, along with more I add along the way.  Well, I HAD to add this one to my list!  I use my purse every day and I couldn’t stand reaching for my keys and phone and not being able to find them.

I always start off with an organized purse and then it gets messy.  I finally broke down and bought THIS purse organizer at The Container Store to help me KEEP it organized (see pics below)!  It was $11.99 and worth every penny!  I’m sure there are cuter ones out there, but this one was clear, functional, and inexpensive.

My purse.  From Kohl’s!  I searched hard for the perfect purse…I love the coral color for the Spring/Summer.
My purse contents laid out:
1. Purse Organizer
2. Erin Condren Planner
3. Phone
4. Make up/Lip Gloss Bag
5. Wallet
6. Gift Cards/Coupons
My Wallet is also organized!  I found this wallet at Target and LOVE it!  It’s sturdy, has all the compartments I need, and closes tightly.  In the back, I keep all my receipts.  This follows my Wallet-Envelope System (read HERE).  Then my main cards (credit cards, drivers license, Costco).  Then cash.  The zipper holds all my change.  And then some extra cards and punch cards/member cards.
My phone!  Possibly the most important item in my purse.  My brother and sister-in-law got me this otter box case for my birthday!  It was on sale for $10!!!!  I told them I really wanted it…yes, I tell my family what presents I “wish” for.  I keep this on the side, which was a HUGE reason I got this purse!

My beauty bag is pretty lame, but it basically holds lip gloss, a mirror, hair pins, rubber bands, and a head wrap band.  I need to replenish my rubber bands and hair pins…I use those often when I’m out and forget one!
I found this little pouch at the checkout line at Old Navy.  I think it was $3 or $4.  I keep all my gift cards in here.  Did I tell you about the time I lost my Coach pencil bag with over $300 of gift cards in it?  Yep, I still cringe when I think about it.  Someone in the Macy’s parking lot was one lucky person!  I keep high dollar ones like massages, clothing stores, expensive restaurants, etc. in our coupon book at home and pull them out when I need them.
My Erin Condren Planner!  I like it because it’s compact enough to fit inside my purse.
This puppy is the hub of it all.  Stuff I need, but may not access as often.  I love, love, love it!
Here is what I have inside!  This is the middle compartment.  There is a zipper inside as well!
The inside stuff – lent roller (I always seem to needs this), mouthwash, lotion, Clif bar (hungry mama=angry mama), hand sanitizer, flash drive.  I usually use the hand sanitizer that is in Beckham’s bag, but if I’m out without him, I can use this.  When I do printing, I use this flash drive.  It’s easy to keep track of one drive.
And feminine products inside the inside zipper.  What a perfect place for them.
Clear pockets with my gum, a pen (a highlighter usually goes in the other holder), and a perfume sample.
The back has two mesh pockets.  I keep Kleenex on the left and a sticky note pad on the right.  See that pocket right above the two?
I keep my checkbook in there!  I actually still use this quite a bit.
Literally, everything has it’s own place in this “must have item” for my purse.  I’ve been using it for a couple months now and it is still working…I haven’t changed anything or had a messy purse since then.
Like I mentioned above, I keep my phone and keys in the two side pockets of my purse.  They are deep enough to not peek out the top and are easy enough to slide in.  They stay in nicely too!
So there you have it, my organized purse!  If you like a bigger purse like myself, you must look into a purse organizer!  One more thing crossed off my list:

-Organize garage (create spaces in garage dedicated to needed storage/uses)
-Organize files in filing cabinet
-Put manuals/warranties in organized binder
-Buy buffet table for dining room and utilize more storage (hoping the hubby agrees)
-Clear out guest closest
-Clear out/organize dressers in room

No I haven't written about it yet. Wanted to give it a good 1-2 months before I wrote about it. I do have some pros and cons for it.
