Good morning and Happy Friday! This is a busy weekend for us. We have my husband’s 40th birthday…whoop whoop, Mother’s Day, a birthday party, and two baseball games!
Happy Birthday Ryan! He’s not too excited to be turning 40, but he sure doesn’t look it!
We plan on celebrating by going to the Ranger’s game tonight and out to eat a nice restaurant with my parents tomorrow. My mom, older sister, and I are having brunch on Saturday to celebrate Mother’s Day together. Then we will celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday as a family (and possibly with Ryan’s mom). Hopefully, I’ll catch a ton of those moments on my Instagram stories (I love those things). I’m @oliviacsnyder on IG.
I’m linking up today to share some Friday Favorites.
{ONE}: Fake Nails for cheap
I used to get my nails done with these acrylic nails all the time at the salon when I was younger. I decided to try them out for myself see if I liked them. These nails by Kiss were less than $7.00 and I thought they went on great! You cannot tell the difference just looking at them. To be honest, even if I look close there is not much difference. I watched one of my favorite YouTubers apply these and they were great for me too (my nails were smooth, but I ran a buffer over them and some nail polish, dried them, and then applied nails). I got the ones labeled real short, but think I’ll go with these next time because these seem shorter (I like really short, especially the white part). This brand is legit.
{TWO}: KINDERGARTEN
I just registered Beckham for Kindergarten and I’m so excited. I really am going to miss him, but I think this will be really good for him. We go to Kinder Round Up in a week. This picture might describe why I’m a tiny bit happy for him and this next adventure! He climbed up on his own.
{THREE}: BUNK BEDS
Our bunk beds arrived and Ryan and I spent a couple of hours putting this together last night. We didn’t finish till 11:45 and the kids were STILL UP! The boys LOVE it and are excited about sharing a room. If you have any tips on transitioning to a shared room, let me know. I have a feeling lots of goofing off will occur. The not so favorite thing about these are the slats on the bottom are too long. No idea why, but I’ll have to call the company and figure out why. Regardless, I can’t wait to show y’all their new room!
{FOUR}: NEW PRODUCTS
Amen to that coffee cup! I’m so pumped about this! I’m expanding my business to include printed products! So many customers have requested actual prints of my designs (I only sell digital files right now) as well as designs on things like mugs and shirts.
I’ve been burning the midnight oil researching and learning all about this side of things, as well as designing some new things. It’s like starting all over again, but it’s really fun. I’ve ordered a few samples of things and I’ll give you a sneak peek on my Instagram. Make sure you’re following my business page too (@joyfulartdesigns) because new products will be released, as well as discount codes.
That’s all I got for today as I’m off to do some birthday prep and clean my house! Have a great weekend!

Love that mug!! haha. Congrats on expanding!! And those nails look SO professional!! I can’t type or text with any kind of nail whatsoever so mine are always super short. But those look so good! Happy early Mother’s Day!!

Thanks Amanda! Yes, my hands are pretty much worthless and typing is so annoying with them on 🙂 But they look pretty…lol

Jack and AJ have been sharing a room since AJ was 2 and Jack was 3 1/2…for the most part it has been awesome. Some nights in the beginning were tough getting them to sleep, lots of giggles and wrestling…but for the most part it has been the best. Fast forward they are now 13 & 15 and still share a room. They have been doing it all their life, I think they would hate not being together! And super excited to see the new mugs! Have a great weekend. Happy Mother’s Day an Happy Birthday Ryan

Thanks Kimm! I hope they transition well and aren’t up too late 🙂 I always shared a room until I was in college because we had 4 kids in a 3 bedroom house, but I assumed everyone shared a room.
