It’s Friday finally…this week has been so slow. This was our last week at home before Beckham starts Kindergarten. Entertaining the kids has been quite the chore if I’m being honest. I’m SO tired and they just want to go go go.
Despite the slow week, my shop has been crazy busy and I’ve been spending late nights filling orders and trying to stay on top of them. In this month alone, I’ve had 113 orders so far, and 37 of them being this week. I’m extremely grateful for the support! August is always a good month for me with school starting. I’m also trying to pack as much in before I have to close the shop here in a few weeks to prepare for our baby!
I have tons of teacher/back to school printables in the shop if you’re looking for that right now. I’m sharing a few favorites today along with other bloggers in this link up! Comment below if you have a blog, so I can check it out too.
This dress! I got this dress from Pink Blush and I’m in love. It fit great (I ordered Medium…I thought it would be too small). It’s the perfect Baby Shower dress. I haven’t purchased really anything this pregnancy, so I enjoyed getting something new. This shop has a great maternity line, but they also sell regular women’s clothing. They usually have discount codes running at the top of their site so look for that. Plus, they send deals through email. And free shipping on U.S. orders…I always love that.
Here I am with another favorite of mine…my mom. She threw me the best girly lunch shower at a small restaurant in downtown Carrollton. All the females in my family were invited!
Solar Eclipse Day. Beckham had fun learning what a solar eclipse was. We ran some errands right around the time the eclipse happened and it was the weirdest color outside. It looks bright here but it was a weird overcast color.
This little 3 year old sure is a favorite of mine. One night I looked up and he was playing so calmly on the floor after bath time. He’s crazy when he’s with Beckham, but nice and calm when he’s by himself (at least most of the time). I’m so pumped to spend one on one time with him the next few weeks. I actually took this picture because he looked SO big to me. I feel like he’s grown even more over this summer, which I didn’t think was possible. I posted his 3 year old update on Monday.
Playstreet Museum in Allen – We finally made it to the newest Playstreet in our area (this one is actually closest to us) and to say the boys had fun is an understatement. It cost me $23 to have both of them play here (a snack was included in this price), but it’s worth it if we just do it once a month (which we don’t even go that often). We stayed 2 hours but they wanted to stay so much longer (I had a chiropractor appointment). I also got all my Thank You notes done while they played…and even a little more done.
A sneak peek at this huge wood sign I’m making. This was the stencil on top of the wood before I painted. I’ll share this DIY wood sign and the mistake I made already. But I’ve already gotten too far so we’re going with it. I hope the rest turns out good. Just have to frame it now and hang in our living room.
And finally, Beckham had Meet the Teacher last night for Kindergarten. We met his adorable teacher (bless all you Kindergarten teachers) and got him all situated for school. This kid is MORE than ready to start school. Independent is his middle name and Busy is his first! It has been a long (almost) 6 years at home with this cutie, but it’s time. He’s witty, funny, and an extreme leader. I pray he uses all these traits for good at school.
I already love his school. It’s a perk to have worked in the district prior to this and already know some people here. It’s also really weird to be on the other side of anything school related. It brought back so many memories…good memories of getting ready for a new group of kiddos to teach and love for the year. Other than losing my driver’s license at the end of the night (I ended up finding it), it was a successful night.
Ryan snapped some of these pics while we were there.
Yep, that’s Beckham so far in front of us running into the school. Anyone else have a kiddo like this?
This kid enjoyed seeing his future school, but I doubt will be as emotionally ready as his brother 🙂 He gets to meet his teacher (for preschool 3’s) next week though.
I have all the emotions with him going, but he’s so stoked to be in school and can hardly wait. I also received my favorite planner in the mail yesterday, so will do a post about that along with some goals for September. I raved about it a bit in my Instagram stories if you caught that.
Tonight we plan on getting together with some of our favorite people (our church group) so that will be fun! And tomorrow we’re supposed to be getting our roof done from the hail storm back in Spring so we’ll be somewhere not at our house, possibly swimming at my parents…which was another favorite thing we did this summer.
