Day 64: Thankful for a HEALTHY 2 yr. old who slept till 9am and quiet time in the morning to shop and drink coffee. I sometimes take for granted his health. I was able to buy some things online and sip coffee. I try to wake up a little before B does to get some “me” time. It starts my day off better.
Day 65: I was going on 5 hours of sleep, but B was at preschool for a few hours. I grabbed a coffee and tackled my to-do list! I was motivated!
Day 66: Shopping trip started off with a tantrum in the store as we waited 5 minutes for a cart (I let him scream so someone would give us a dang cart). Then a speed chase in the toy section (leaving my purse in cart). Then another tantrum from said speed chase and getting caught. Therefore you see the Thomas the Train toy and Spider-Man glasses (which we have already lost). I did save $147 thought which was more than I even spent. It was quite possibly the worst trip with him. These “terrible twos” are really teaching me some things!
Day 67: Daddy is much better at nursing him back to health than me. B woke up with a fever and cough on Saturday. I feel I’m a pretty good mom, but Ryan is pretty dang good at taking care of B when he’s sick. Ryan’s mom is a nurse, so he had lots of nurturing examples. I tend to wait everything out or only go to the doctor if it’s an emergency or really bad. But it’s true, kids really want their mama when they’re sick…he kept asking for “mommy.”
Day 68: Church at home with our little Warrior for God! Recovering from being ill the day before, we stayed in and watched church online. He stayed still for the music part and played with play-dough and colored during the rest.
Day 69: I sure did sit down with this pint of ice cream and started eating it. Sea Salt Caramel is my favorite at Pacuigo…this was good, but Pacuigo wins hands down. Don’t worry, I only ate about 1/3 cup of it. Luckily, I’m not a huge ice cream eater.
Day 70: This was done in less than 2 minutes from walking in the door. I run to the room after hearing very loud noises and he looks up at me, smiles, and says “mess!” He literally enjoys making a mess. Not making a mess because he’s playing with toys, but simply dumping it all out and creating this! I’m sure God is looking down and just laughing at me!
More pictures from Week 10:
We went to the mall last week with my good friends, Jennie and Kristen. Jennie just had her 3rd baby (all 4 and under) and Kristen just had twins (in addition to her 2 yr. old). Her 2 yr. old was at day care, but it was quite a scene to see all 6 kids with us walking around the mall. Hanging out with these two is really preparing me for my ONE addition! Should be easy right? Lol! I love these girls!
This was a picture from “Western Day” at preschool! Umm, how ridiculously cute is he? I showed him this picture and he said, “yeehaw” I died!
Coloring!
Sick baby who wants to lay on you all day = bored mama!
Picnic in pj’s and Mickey Mouse!
Weird…couldn’t fall asleep in his bed for naptime on Wednesday. Mommy did the trick.
I felt like I slaved in the kitchen making dinner and these bad boys! You have to try my mom’s really good BANANA BREAD. I made some with blueberries and chocolate chips!
I really liked this devotional from my Daily Devotional app.
Crazy hair!
Delicious dinner last night and EASY! One pan skillet lasagna! One pan to clean up? Yes ma’am! It was REALLY good! Click HERE for the recipe. I used 1/2 pound ground beef and 1/2 pound Sweet Italian chicken sausage. A spicy sausage would be good too. It makes 4-8 servings. I think I’ll even use this recipe for regular spaghetti too and substitute the ravioli.
Have a great week!
