I feel like this post is going to be something that everyone already knows, but I’ll share anyway! Babies are expensive and require tons of new things as they change daily! So finding deals on baby items is a must. I’m very “useful” when it comes to Beckham’s clothes. He wears most of his outfits every week. But he’s thinned out, shot upward in height, and the weather is changing, so he’s in desperate need of new clothes.
I’m driving home from a play date yesterday when my friend tells me of a local consignment sale still going on (I thought it had already ended). It happened to be 1/2 price off most items that night. I have been to this sale before, but it was my first time and very overwhelming. I honestly didn’t expect to get much this time, thinking items would be picked over.
I left the sale with a stroller full of clothes and 2 toys ($6.25 total for toys). I bought FIFTY-TWO items of clothing for $72.00!!!! (not including tax). I don’t get many toys at these sales because I am slightly OCD and feel that I can’t clean them enough, but this is obviously a HUGE savings! I’ll give these clothes a good run in the washing machine and they’ll be good to go! They also have items such as books, shoes, furniture, diaper pales, etc.…
I went to THIS consignment sale. So the moral of this post – SHOP AT A CONSIGNMENT SALE FOR BABY ITEMS! Here are a few of my finds!

Don't forget about yardsales! When I was pregnant with both our girls, we went and actually bought out a few 'baby clothes' sales. I'm not sure how much we spent in total, but I know that I saved a ton of money and some of the outfits still had tags. You have to get up early on the weekends, but it's worth it to have extra for fun in our budget!

Good idea Charlotte! I bet with the warmer weather approaching there will start to be tons of yardsales.

Facebook also has tons of selling sites! I'm completely stocked up on clothes for this winter and the next size up! You can usually find "lots" of clothes for less than $1/piece! When we first had our daughter, everything had to be new, but as she's gotten older, I realize that since they grow so quickly, most clothes are only worn a few times….making even "used" clothes almost like new 🙂

Hayley, that's awesome! I have bought several items on Facebook, but they tend to be furniture and toys. I need to look more for clothes! Nice tip!

I am always SHOCKED at the price tag when shopping for my son’s clothes. Not only is it like a quarter of the fabric used in adult clothes, but he’s literally going to wear this $40 outfit like 5 times before outgrowing it. I’ve just started hearing about consignment sales, and this post REALLY makes me want to find one and go. I’ve also found that there are several buy, sell, trade groups on Facebook in my area, and people are ALWAYS selling clothes on those. Thank you so much for sharing these awesome tips <3
