It’s June and I have finally slowed down enough to make some “New Year Resolutions.” I always have a “to do” list going so one of my main resolutions is to organize my entire house! And when I say organize, I really mean organize. If you know me well, you know I am often referred to as “Monica” on Friends. Yep, and I love it! I can’t help but love to clean and be organized. It is so calming. I will be using a blog that helps with organizing (iheartorganizing) to help me schedule it out. It should take me a long time, but I hope to finish before the end of the year. I figure I should concentrate on a room at a time. My first project is small, but important…MY CLOSET! Of course I will need hubby’s help with this (which will be the real task), but it will free up a lot of storage space.
My second resolution is to lose all my baby weight! I managed to lose 33 lbs of my 42 gained during pregnancy withOUT working out. I’m still breastfeeding, so I know I’ll still carry a little weight, but I think about 5 more pounds and some toning and I’ll be happy! I plan to finally start my workouts, eat better, and take my beloved Catalyst by Advocare. By December though, I hope to be back at my pre-pregnancy weight (somewhere in the 120’s).
My third resolution is to grow my relationship with Jesus more! I must read my Bible more. I know that sounds cliche, but it cannot be an option. That is how we come closer to Christ. Through His word, He will reveal Himself to us.
My fourth resolution is to become much more involved with our budget. I’m the one who spends more in this family since I do most of the shopping, so it only makes sense I know what we’re spending and where. With the loss of my income once August hits, I will have a challenge to keep our budget low…I’m actually kind of excited.
My fifth resolution, and the one I will have the most difficult time getting to, is to scrapbook. I would love to scrapbook SO many things (honeymoon, Beckham’s first year, our trips, etc…), but it takes lots of time and money. With a 6 month old, time is not my best friend. And I hear scrapbooking can be quite expensive. I’ll definitely have to start simple.
So there you have it, my 5 resolutions. Starting in May, but it can be done! 🙂
Mama Relle says
