Today I’m teaming up with Morgan from Yellow Door Diaries and Jaelan from Making Mrs. M to share a Progressive Dinner with you guys for Memorial Day! Morgan is sharing a delicious dinner and Jaelan is sharing a yummy dessert, so be sure to check those out.
I’ve got some crowd pleasing, delicious drinks for you! First up, I wanted to create something that was red, white, and blue to fit with the Memorial Day/American theme. I scoured Pinterest and found different versions of this “Red, White, and Blue” drink, and concocted the perfect one for my liking! I think you’ll like it too. I think it’d be perfect to set up as a DIY drink station since it looks best immediately after you pour it. Here’s the first drink recipe (non-alcoholic):
INGREDIENTS:
-Cran-Raspberry Juice
-Blue Gatorade
-Sprite Zero
-Crushed Ice
DIRECTIONS:
The key to the different ingredients staying separate is the sugar content. Make sure the highest sugar content is on the bottom, the next highest, in the middle, and the least sugar, on top.
1. Fill glass with crushed ice to the rim of the drink (you could also dip the rim in colored sugar, but I was afraid the drinks would wipe it off as I poured them in, so I didn’t include it).
2. Tilt your glass a bit and pour in the Cran-Raspberry juice about 1/3 of the way up.
3. Do the same thing with the Gatorade.
3. Finally, fill the last 1/3 with Sprite Zero (don’t tilt the glass).
You could make this drink for your guests or you could set up a drink station for them to create their own (just explain the process or have directions on the table). Kids would love this too. It would be a great ice breaker for guests when they arrive. Or whip up this bad boy for yourself on Monday! Such a pretty drink. And not only is it fun, it’s tasty too! I used a straw to slurp up the goodness.
Next up is one of my favorite drinks! Beeritas!
I’m not a big drinker, but I do enjoy an occasional margarita. When I think of Memorial Day, I think of BBQ outside with a “Beerita” in my hand, so I had to include my favorite alcoholic drink as well (the beer makes it a little more bbq-y right? I know it’s a stretch). I’m not sure I’ve had one person try this and not like it, even guys. My friend Kristen introduced this to me when we first met several years ago, and it’s my go-to for get togethers, especially in the summer. It’s also perfect for a Memorial Day dinner. Here’s the recipe for Beeritas:
INGREDIENTS:
-1 frozen can of limeade
-1 12oz. Beer
-Vodka (1/2 – 1 full can…use limeade can) – this will depend on how much alcohol you want…be careful, these things taste yummy, but can go to your head quickly 😉 #imalightweight
-Sprite – I have never measured this, as I just add this last according to taste (I probably use about 1 liter)
-Limes for garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Add the limeade, beer, and vodka. Then add Sprite to taste. Stir and serve over ice!
Oh guys, this is so good! If you’re like me and have the taste buds of a 12 year old, you will love this drink. I cannot stand the taste of beer, but you can’t taste it in this drink. I like to describe this drink as a carbonated sweet (but not too sweet) margarita.
I hope you try these drinks and let me know if you like them! Make sure to check out Morgan and Jaelan’s recipes to complete your Memorial Day menu!
Do you have any good drink recipes you like to make for Memorial Day or other parties? I love getting ideas for my own.
Hope all you moms had a great Mother’s Day weekend. I had a great weekend and now it’s time to celebrate my hubby’s birthday!
I love connecting with y’all. My Facebook, Instagram(@snyderstellall) and Pinterest. Come say hi!

I will definitely try the beerita. It sounds really good as I can't stand tequila in a traditional margarita.
