I’m always interested in what other moms are up to, especially stay at home moms – How they keep busy, or should I say sane, constantly caring for their babies! So I thought I’d share what’s been going on lately and why my posts have been fewer lately.
Beckham is SO busy and is constantly into something. So majority of my day is keeping him out of trouble, playing with him, and cleaning the kitchen!
Literally IN to everything |
I’ve also started to workout more. On Mondays I try and get to the gym for weights and some cardio. Tuesdays, I have soccer games. Wednesday-Sundays I go to the gym when I can, which has not been a lot. Ryan gets home late every evening, except for Mondays, so it makes it hard to get to the gym. I could take Beckham, but I just haven’t yet. He’s already picked up junk from nurseries and I hate to put him in another venue of germs. In addition to working out, I’m trying to eat better and researching yummy recipes that are cleaner. The blog below has helped me set some fitness goals!
I’m also planning Beckham’s birthday party! I’m doing most everything myself, so I’ve been researching and planning it all out. I can’t wait to have his party! I’m keeping notes on everything and how much it’s costing, so I can post how to plan a party on a manageable budget…at least I hope it’s manageable!
Inspiration for party |
My house has been in constant clutter since I moved out of my classroom, so I’ve been trying to organize my house forever now! Plus, with the addition of rearranging many things to accommodate a “home with kids,” it’s become slightly messy. Having a new baby in the house, I’ve realized they take up so much stinkin room! All their toys, clothes, and equipment are used so quickly and then you have to store it all. Plus, since I’m here ALL day, I want to enjoy where I am. Pretty sure this will be a constant “to-do” on my list.
Every other Monday we go to MOPS (mothers of preschoolers). This usually lasts the whole morning. It’s been fun for me to meet other moms and have adult time, while Beckham plays with some other babies his age. Tuesdays we usually chill out at home. Wednesdays we go to Music Time at the library. Beckham LOVES this. Thursdays and Fridays we don’t have anything planned, but some things we do on those days are go visit Ryan at work to eat lunch, go to the park, have play dates, and run errands (there is always somewhere I need to be). Some things I try to do with Beckham everyday are: read, sing to him, play with his toys (so he learns how to use them appropriately), talk to him, especially when we’re out and about, and just LOVE the heck out of him. I almost annoy myself with how obsessed I am with him.
Just hanging out! |
So that’s what’s been keeping me busy lately, among just the normal things of life like Bible study, family birthdays (with a big family, there is at least one family gathering a month). Cowboy’s get togethers, baby showers (I’m at that age where everyone is having a baby), and blogging (which I’m loving more and more everyday)! I’m so happy the holidays are nearing! It is my FAVORITE time of year! Only sad part about this time of year is Ryan is in full force with basketball. Since he heavily took on volleyball this year to make sure we were secure financially, this “season” is going to seem REALLY long this year. Good thing I have my buddy to keep me company!

Olivia, I love your blog. It is so crazy how much we have in common. I REALLY wish we lived close because I am sure we would see a lot of each other. You have a beautiful family!

Shannon! Me too! I still remember gathering our cash in our jean pockets and running to Taco Bell. Oh how I wish my figure stayed the same eating Taco Bell! Thanks for reading!

what does your husband do? Mine works for a football team (he is an equipment manager and over the NIKE account) but football season is in full swing so lots of late nights and weekends where he is gone. So I can relate:)

He teaches 9th grade Algebra and refs college basketball. Hate that he's gone a lot, but he's reffing more college (vs. highschool) so he can have more nights off now (he just may have to travel farther with college). It definitely helps financially!
