So much to talk about this week: My Toughest Part, Baby Room, Baby Showers, Baby Snydes Kicked Ryan, Starting My Own Business, , etc… It gets more real every day!
My Toughest Part:
Well, I feel like I hit my turning point as far as growth goes. Once I hit 20 weeks I felt like I was starting to get more of a pregnant belly. If I look back at my pics, 20 weeks really pops to me! I was actually asked if I was pregnant by a worker at Good Will when I was dropping things off (he didn’t want me lifting). I couldn’t believe he asked because that can get you in some dangerous territory…and I didn’t really think I looked that pregnant either. Gaining this weight has been the TOUGHEST part for me! I mean I’ve really struggled with it. I look in the mirror and see chunk in more parts of my body (not belly). I guess I think it’s been the toughest thing because I worked so dang hard to lose that weight and now it just feels like I have gained it all back (on top of being pregnant). It doesn’t help that I’m as white as a ghost in the middle of summer when a lot of skin is showing. I know I’ve probably gained back half of it (6 pounds) from eating more than I should/eating poorly, but I guess all I can do is workout and eat healthier. I have been working out with Ryan lately and feel really good about my workouts. I still lift weights and do cardio. I have only had to modify one or two exercises and I just stay really aware of my body when I am working out. If I don’t feel good about lifting or think I’m straining my core, I use lighter weights. When I do cardio (elliptical and treadmill) I can definitely feel the baby inside me now. It’s really weird actually. I can’t imagine what it will feel like at 8 months. It feels like somebody took a balloon and blew it up about halfway and stuck in under my belly. I’m sure it will feel like a full balloon here in a couple months. I start work again in 3 weeks so that should help with my eating habits! With all that being said, I should thank the Lord that that is my toughest part! It could be so much worse and it is at least something I can control. I wouldn’t change anything in the world to be exactly where I am (highs and lows included)!
Baby Room:
We bought furniture!!! I LOVE what we got. As I mentioned before, the bed we were so graciously given was recalled and had chips that I had to mark in to cover up. It would have been fine, but I feel better about the purchase. It will all match and no recalls or sharpie on it π It is really dark brown! Below is a picture. We bought the crib and dresser with hutch on top. We actually got 25% off the dresser and crib each because we bought the floor model (20%) and Ryan talked his way to another 5% off each of the two pieces. We had to order the hutch part though because they didn’t have it in store. It takes 16-18 months to get here which should be just before Baby Snydes gets here. So it was a good thing we got the floor models of the crib and dresser because we were able to bring it home (already assembled) and put it in the room! So we saved about $200 on it! We got all this at Buy Buy Baby! The only other pieces of furniture we will add to the room is a wooden 8 cubby holder thing and a recliner…both chocolate brown. My aunt and mom came over last Wednesday and made over my house! We cleared everything out of the room and it is ready to decorate! They gave me some great ideas for the nursery. I think I posted this last week, but here is the furniture:
