It’s week 3 of this month’s grocery experiment and we’ve almost hit our budget max…oops! This shopping experiment has taught me that I really like to buy foods that make a yummy dinner, regardless of what I already have in the pantry. I have food in the pantry and freezer that we could use and make something with, it just might not be the most delicious dinner. Pintrest doesn’t help and neither does my “it’s on sale, so let’s get it” mindset.

Up until this week we had spent a total of $174.15. Our monthly budget for groceries is $280. This week we spent $89.53 (74.54 at Walmart; 8.55 at Market Street; 6.44 at Albertson’s). So, our monthly budget so far is $263.68! We have $16.32 left! Hahahaha! It will be a miracle if I can get groceries next week for under $17, but I am going to try and keep is LOW! Next week’s update should be interesting and creative!
