Happy Friday everyone! So glad the weekend is here. Some exciting things are happening around here and the “Fall” season is approaching.
Before I get into some of my favorites from the week, I want to ask a huge favor! I want to provide content that you all love reading, so I’ve created this very short survey. It’s only a few questions long and it’s anonymous. You can click HERE to take it. I would greatly appreciate it if you took a few minutes to answer the questions. Thank you thank you!
Now onto some things going on around here.
A couple weeks ago, we decided to go forward on painting our master bedroom. We’ve painted it and are now just adding the finishing touches. I’m in love with how it’s turning out and our room seems 10 feet bigger with the lighter color. Here is a sneak peek. The tags are still on that lamp because I’m unsure I’ll keep it (need to find it’s twin at another Ross).
If you have boys, you know how often they need a haircut. Having 2 boys, I just had to learn how to cut boys hair. I didn’t start attempting Beckham’s hair till he turned 4 years old (and won’t attempt Maddox’s until he’s at least 3 or 4 also). I’ve just accepted that his haircuts will get better and better, the more I practice. Better to mess up now when he’s little and he can’t get made fun of. 🙂 I think his last hair cut turned out pretty good. He’s got curly hair which makes it harder to cut, but easier to cover up mistakes.
I asked him to smile and this is what he gave me. It reminds me of Chandler on that Friends episode where he can’t smile normal in pictures.
A favorite of mine these days is any time these two get along. They’ve been fighting so much lately so when I catch them playing nicely (even if not together), it makes me happy. This was at the gym when I came to pick them up. Maddox does not leave Beckham’s side at the gym.
This crew is definitely a favorite! I had playdates with two of my best friends this week and snapped this one of our second playdate. These are my friend Kristen’s kids. The kids are getting older so we actually were able to talk a bit while we sipped on our coffees! Love this bunch!
We’ve got meet the teacher next week and my MOPS meet and greet as well. Fall activities are about to start and I’m getting excited. And did I mention I signed Beckham up for soccer this Fall? Do you know I’ve been waiting for this moment for almost 5 years. Seeing my kids play sports is the thing I’ve looked forward to the longest, second to seeing them follow Jesus.
Hope you have a great weekend! If you missed my post about what every highschooler (and young adult) should know urgently about finances, check it out here. And please don’t forget to take the survey if you can. I’d be so grateful.
Linking up today for Friday Favorites.

Yes, about boys and haircuts. Ugh! I used to cut my sons hair, but now that he’s almost 12, he’s super picky about it. I laughed out loud about your Chandler comment. Too funny!
