Friday Favorites

I’m so happy it’s Friday!  It means I don’t have to cook (more importantly, clean up) and it’s Easter weekend!  We have a low key weekend planned with crossing off to-do’s, church, and Easter egg hunts.  I was talking to Beckham on the way to school yesterday about Easter.  I asked him if he knew what Easter was (we have been talking about it, as well as at his preschool) and he said “JESUS IS ALIVE!”  My heart melted!  I’m just now getting glimpses of him retaining knowledge like this and I couldn’t love it more.

{SONIC CHERRY LIME DIET COKE}
I know this is not a healthy drink, but it’s so good and refreshing with this warmer weather.  I like to stop by after I pick Beckham up from school since it’s Happy Hour during that time.  Gotta love half price drinks.

I bought the Vanilla Amber scent from Kohl’s a while back and am obsessed with the smell.  It’s the calmest, smoothest smell if that makes sense.  So I went back to the store and used my 30% (plus $10.00 Kohl’s cash) to buy this same scent, as well as the “be soothed” scent, which is to die for also!  I have them in my kitchen and on my desk!  I think they ended up being $7.00 each (on sale for 50% off, plus my 30% off), plus my $10 off, so I paid $4.00 total for both them! 

{NAVY STRIPED PURSE}
I got a new purse at Kohl’s also.  My favorite yellow one was falling apart, so I decided to find another one.  I’ve been wearing a cross body purse for the last several months since having Maddox, but switched over to a normal purse now 🙂  I love this purse!  The brand is Dana Buchman.  I have a weakness for purses.  It stays organized with my purse organizer.

{BOOKS}
I mentioned this a few days ago, but I’m loving Ruth Soukup’s How to Blog for Profit Without Losing Your Soul.  It’s a really good book if you’re a blogger.  I also loved her Living Well Spending Less book.  I love a good book at the end of the day when I’m in bed.

{CHIMICHANGA DINNER}
Last night I made this recipe for the second time and it was still really good.  It actually comes out pretty crispy for a baked chimi!  I’m going to try it with chicken and some other ingredients next time.  If it’s good, I’ll share it with y’all!  I wish I had taken a picture…not sure if I can use their picture so I left it out.
