I’m linking up today to share some random favorites as of late.
It’s summer in our house which means Ryan is home from his teaching job. It throws off our schedule a bit, but we love it. It definitely is worth the wait after every grueling basketball season of never seeing him. He still works some camps in the summer, but is home most of the time. That is definitely a recent favorite of all of ours.
{ONE}: Kid Activity
We are loving these beads I got the boys. Beckham always asks for these at the store and we finally bought a huge packet with some string. Both boys have been making necklaces and bracelets galore and it has kept them SO busy. It’s a quiet activity which is nice too!
{TWO}: Monkey Bread
The boys requested monkey bread. My mom makes the best monkey bread. I’m pretty sure it’s how most people make it, but if you haven’t made this stuff, you have to try it.
-3 cans of small biscuits (they come in 4 pack)
-cinnamon
-brown sugar (about a cup)
-melted butter (about 1/3-1/2 cup)
Take one can of biscuits, cut each one into fourths. Add it to the bottom of a bundt pan (spray with oil). Sprinkle with a little cinnamon. Mix the brown sugar and butter together until you have a loose paste like consistency. Pour a third of that over the biscuits. Repeat this 2 more times so you have 3 layers. Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes (until golden brown on top). Flip over onto a plate and devour.
{THREE}: Jungle Joes
If you’re local, this place is great for kids. I love it because it’s geared towards moms relaxing, having a cup of “joe” and getting work done if you need to. We bought a Groupon as well. It’s $9.00 per child over 3 (2 and under are $7 I believe).
{FOUR}: VBS (Vacation Bible School)
Beckham attended his first VBS ever. This week he went to a local church’s program and absolutely loved it. I got to spend some time with Maddox and it was really fun to just have that one on one time with him!
{FIVE}: No More Diapers
Maddox is officially potty trained. I talked about it yesterday in this post and detailed how I experienced potty training two boys! We get a small break from diapers until October…I’ll take it! He’ll be 3 in a couple of weeks and I’m pleasantly surprised he did it this early (I’m not a go getter when it comes to this…lol).
{SIX}: Peanut Butter Green Smoothie
I’ve discovered another yummy smoothie. I prefer to eat my meals, but the only way I really get in vegetables is through a smoothie. This one has peanut butter, banana, and spinach (among other things) and it’s really good. My boys even like it. I’ll share the recipe on the blog next week.
{SEVEN}: Mugs in my Etsy shop
I FINALLY added mugs to my shop this week and are adding more daily. I shared some designs in this post, but here are a couple more I’ve created since then.
I told you it was a bit random, but definitely some favorites. We have plans this weekend with some family (my niece is graduating). I might tackle some DIY projects too if I can! Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Yes, it would be perfect for you! Especially when Britt gets a little more comfortable, it’s perfect to meet up with other work friends too so kids can play while we work (interrupted work of course).
