I’ve been working all week on a cleaning schedule…yes, I’m a nerd. I’ve actually been working on home management in general. There is a lot to manage right now on my end and I simply just need to get it together! I’ll let you know what I come up with.
Here are some Friday favorites though…
We went to a local carnival on Sunday and it was so much fun! They had everything these two could’ve asked for. We rode several rides, at a hot dog, did mazes, and ended with a funnel cake!
There’s Beckham and I up in the Ferris wheel. Rides in general freak me out, but he had no fear!
This was at the end of the night and once it started going, I was doing everything I could not to make a scene…doesn’t it look like he could just roll right out? This ride went extremely fast. He had a blast of course.
My boys voluntarily cleaning! And speaking of cleaning…Beckham’s room went from this…
To this…ALL BY HIMSELF (with Maddox’s help)!!!
*This is actually a picture from another day, but it looked exactly like this.
After bath at night, we pick up in his room before story and bedtime. Ryan had just walked in the front door when we started to clean (I had started helping them clean up) and Beckham wanted to surprise him by cleaning his room by himself. He closed the door and worked on that thing for about 30 minutes. He organized every toy, picked everything off the floor, and even put his animals against his pillow like I do if I make his bed 🙂 I was in complete shock that he actually did it ALL and didn’t give up. Definitely made me happy.
This is probably my favorite thing of the week! Sorry this picture is poor quality, but I had to crop it. Beckham is finally playing soccer! I waited almost 5 years and have been looking forward to this day since before he was born. I realize pre-school soccer is basically kids swarming around a ball, but I’m even excited about that! He has his first game tomorrow! I hope he enjoys it as much as I’ll enjoy watching him! Those shin guards 🙂
I saw this in one of my friend’s Facebook feed and about died laughing. Is this not so true?!
And I couldn’t resonate more with this! This is the story of my life. Super healthy all day and then 4:00pm hits and it’s like another being inside me takes over!
And lastly, I have had several mornings where I have gotten up an hour or two before the kiddos and I LOVE IT! I have learned that I am actually much more productive in the morning, particularly with cleaning, even though I’d consider myself a night owl! It also sets the tone for the day. This is where I sit and do some quiet time. Currently, I’m reading Jesus Calling and Unto the Hills by Billy Graham. It’s super old, but so good!
I’ll be knee deep in paper clutter today, trying to organize it in my office. How do we have so much paper stuff? And I hope it’s nice weather wherever you are…I am dying with the heat still and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight! Have a great weekend!
I’m linking up today for Friday Favorites.

So I saw that quote too about the sock….and that is Olivia. I cannot tell you the last time she wore socks…probably 3 years. She wears natives or a slip on shoe sock free every single day! And girl I am so over the heat! Have a great weekend!

I had to chuckle at that meme about eating – I call that stress eating b/c let’s be honest, the hours between 3 and bedtime are STRESSFUL! 🙂 I’m hoping my middle guy will like soccer. He did soccer shots in the spring and we’re planning to get him a goal for either bday or Christmas so he can practice more in the yard. Fun times! Have a great weekend! –Sarah 🙂
