I’m linking up today to share my favorites from the week!
My new office is great! I’m loving how it’s turning out. I don’t want to show much until it’s somewhat put together, but I’m much more productive in there. And I’m making it super feminine since I’m surrounded by boys all the time 🙂 I was sitting in my office with the windows open and music playing, working on a birth stats sign (still one of my favorites to create…this was the sign that started it all).
One of my favorite moments this week was celebrating my grandmother’s 90th birthday! How amazing to have my Nonnie still around. She’s amazing and her mind is very much still sharp as a tack. It was neat to hear about times when she was young. There was no such thing as sliced bread. Refrigerators were an “ice box”, literally a box with an ice cube in it that kept things cold (so they had to frequent the store often). Years during the Depression and how she’d feed the homeless who would come to her door. Times were so different and it makes me realize how blessed I am to have the conveniences I do today. Don’t mind B’s face…#typical
One of my favorite moments this week was sitting at Starbucks drinking my favorite iced coffee (I only get Venti’s when they’re free) and reading Proverbs, while the boys were at school. It’s one of my favorite books in the Bible. It has so much wisdom on prudent living. I love learning ways to live prudently (obviously by the name of my blog). My to-do list was busting at the seams, but I knew I needed to take time to read His Word.
I captured this photo this week and just love it. I think it’s adorable. Beckham was sitting by the window sipping his coffee (basically warm frothy milk) and just staring out the window. I wonder what he was thinking about.
Girls night was definitely one of my favorite moments this week. These girls and I have been getting together on Mondays and watching the Bachelor together in a comfy home theater! Last Monday was the finale so we all met up beforehand to get pedicures and have dinner nearby at a Mexican restaurant. Love these girls and this time is so good for the soul…yes, even when it includes the Bachelor.
And lastly, our San Antonio trip was another favorite! We had a good time getting away. And clearly, the boys loved it as seen in this pic. You can read about the trip HERE.
We have a very low key weekend. I plan on cleaning my house and playing outside…it’s supposed to be gorgeous! Have a great weekend!
Oh and a few of you have asked about how to leave a comment (the comment box is not showing up). You have to click on title of the post so it’s the post you’re reading and not just the blog open, if that makes sense. If you see the comment box, that means you’ve clicked on this specific post somewhere, but if not, you’re just reading my blog’s home page. I need to fix it so that’s not the case, but in the meantime that’s how it works.
