Well hello there! I’ve been MIA because my computer crashed last week. I’ve never experienced a crash before, but let me tell you, for someone whose business and life runs on a computer, it was like a death! I had to shut down my shop early and refund tons of orders. Needless to say, this last week has been crazy.
I am able to work on my laptop and have some pictures that were still on my camera, so I’m able to write this post. So let’s get to it.
At the beginning of this year, I redid our floors in the “office” room and changed it from a playroom to an office. And now, I’m finally sharing what it looks like. I went for soft, feminine, and simple. I absolutely love it.
I went with white furniture and silver and gold accents. I was initially going to do all silvers, but when I bought the canvas below, I loved the mix of the two.
I found it at Hobby Lobby. It’s my favorite piece in the office. I just love it.
Next to the gold and silver art is the bookshelf and the above pictures are how I organized it. I needed it to be functional as well, so those white baskets hold some office stuff. The gray file box holds an assortment of papers, but I’m going to make it my files for business and tax purposes. I got most of the bookshelf decor at Target and Hobby Lobby.
I got my desk at IKEA. It’s actually a double desk designed for two people (possibly college kids). There are 2 drawers side by side and that’s it. It was very affordable (around $75). I’m not a fan of how the chair looks in my office but it’s pretty comfortable so it’s staying for now.
This is my Bible study corner. The place I like to sit with a cup of coffee and the Word. It’s a very peaceful place when I can actually make a date with it. 🙂 I got this chair at Target.
The perfect accessory to this wood floor is this rug from Overstock.
The view from the doors.
Our file cabinet sits against this wall. It doesn’t go with the furniture, but I don’t think it looks that bad, plus I can always paint it. I also added 3 feminine signs I created with motivating quotes on this photo holder from IKEA. I will have these signs available in my shop when it reopens in January.
Lastly, this is a clearer look into the office. I really love how the whole room turned out and it’s a little space for girly-ness in this house full of boys!
Hope you enjoyed a peek into where I blog, run Joyful Art Designs, and have some quiet time. Wish me luck getting my computer back.

It looks beautiful! I love it.
Also, I said a little prayer for you when I saw on your Instagram that your computer crashed. I felt so bad.

Thank you Jen, I was able to get someone to recover my files so I’m really happy about that, but I did have to get a new hard drive.
