I can’t believe today marks the day before I’ll have a baby! I go in tomorrow to break my water and will soon get to hold her (unless she comes some time today). I shared a little update here.
I thought I would share my very simple Fall decor this year and some Fall soups I have here on this blog. I went very minimal as I know I’m going to turn around and decorate for Christmas next month. Here are some pictures of the decor we have around the house.
I am dying to give our entry way a makeover, but we’ve done a lot to our house this year and I’m taking a break. The lighting is really dark in this part of our house too.
I always put last year’s Halloween picture with the boys in their costumes inside this frame. I never took one of them by themselves so this was the picture I had right before all the kids went out to trick or treat.
This is the candy jar I always have out. I put it on the little side table next to our kitchen.
This is in our dining room. Those candles don’t go there, but I placed them there after taking them off the mantle.
Our dining room table. I need a runner for this table.
Our front door wreath. I love this and got it at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago.
The little scarecrow door handle on the inside of the front door.
A picture of the entry way.
This rug is in our kitchen. I got this at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago too.
I’m also obsessed with Fall candles from Bath and Body Works and wanted to share the scents I purchased this year.
This one by the entry way is Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin! Smells delicious right when you walk in. The holder is also from BBW…I got it for free with my purchase.
Leaves – probably my favorite scent they have! I love this packaging, especially for my kitchen.
I’m not really sure this is considered Fall, but it is amazing smelling. I highly recommend this scent!
These are the most recent ones I got. I’m really excited to burn the Pumpkin Pecan Waffles and the Honeyed Pear. They were to die for in the store.
I also buy these wax melts at Walmart to burn in my small plug-in warmer.
My house looks like Fall, smells like Fall, and we’re tasting yummy Fall food. I LOVE soups and crock pot meals, so this time of year is my favorite. I made this taco soup this week and we’re still eating on it. I’m not a leftover person, but this stuff is good the 2nd and 3rd days too! This taco soup is a little different in the best way possible!
We also love this chili! I’ve made a lot of different chili recipes and this one is by far my favorite!
In that post is also my favorite way to make cornbread (Jiffy box + creamed corn).
You must try these recipes some time this Fall. Both can be made in the crock pot and make for great leftovers. You can see more recipes here.
I hope you enjoyed a little Fall inspiration today! Let me know if you make any of the recipes!
I should update my Instagram tomorrow with any baby news, so make sure to check that out if you’re interested – @oliviacsnyder
