BABY #2 IS A…

Let me just say this post has been done and ready to publish for 2 days now, but stupid Windows Live Writer will not publish it for some reason!  I had to literally copy the text and upload all the photos again to create it in Blogger…which I’m reminded why it’s so horrible to write straight from Blogger. So needless to say, the layout of this post is all screwed up, but all the info is here.  Ugh.  Okay on to the fun part…

What a crazy weekend.  My birthday AND a gender reveal!  I have
so much to catch up with on this blog and in my house!  I can’t wait to clean
and have the house back to normal…and start decorating a baby room.
Whenever it’s one of our birthdays, we celebrate over at my
parents house.   This is a pretty frequent event, considering there are 4 kids,
2 parents, all our significant others, and our little ones.  It’s fun
though…there is always a party at my parents house!  We decided to find out the
gender at my parents when we were all there for my birthday.
So let’s get to it…
Remember my Gender Predictions Chart?  And remember the only one
(or two) I even considered somewhat true?

Could have gone either way!

Beckham was the special entertainment and was the one who was
going to bite into the cupcake to reveal the gender (it was suppose to be a
donut since it was a Breakfast Birthday Party, but that’s a long story).

So we sat him down, handed him the cupcake…here’s what went
down…

Can you see that icing underneath?  IT’S A….

BOY!!!
The cupcake actually flipped over and we all saw the icing
underneath right away.  Let me just say I’m much better at making icing filled
cupcakes than the bakery we went to…sorry Market Street, but the icing was
coming right out the bottom (luckily I didn’t take the wrapper off for B to eat
it).  Check out my cupcake from our first gender reveal when I made them…you can
click HERE to read about it.

And they were my favorite cupcakes…Rainbow Chip!  I can’t stand
store bought baked goods, but we didn’t know and had to have someone make it.
Now that we are clear that I make amazing gender reveal cupcakes, let’s talk
about how pumped we are!

First of all, I’m glad my mommy instinct is spot on!  I was kind
of going to be embarrassed if I went on and on about how sure I was it was a boy
and then it ended up being a girl.  We are so pumped it is a boy.  I am already
thinking about how fun the brotherhood will be between Beckham and Baby #2.  I’m
extremely excited for B…what boy doesn’t want a brother?  Boys will be boys!  My
poor brother grew up with 3 sisters…he always wanted a brother.  It’s okay
Logan, you are such a good man because of us 🙂  Lol

I’m pumped to start working on the nursery!  Here have been some
of inspiration pictures via Pinterest of course…

I love the gray and white with accents of blue.  I also love
navy blue and green.  This will be fun to decorate.  And I can’t wait to make
signs for this room myself!  Beckham’s is a very handsome, masculine room and I
love it.  This was will be a little brighter and light!
Are you ready for a Pinterest FAIL?  This was hilarious.  I
wanted a cute picture like this…

but instead, this is how it turned out blowing glitter towards
the camera…

Logan was going to edit it to look like the picture above, but
once this failed miserably, we didn’t even try.  It was so funny, I literally
almost peed in my pants from laughing so hard!    There are probably 50 of these
photos.  The glitter was not showing up in the camera when I blew it forwards.
It was too small…  That’s why I threw it up in the air in that first picture so
maybe it would spread easier…bahahaha!
So note to self: If you want this picture to turn out correct,
use the thick glitter and/or sequences so there are chunks of sparkle blowing
out of your hand.  So funny!

Here’s how we announced it on Facebook and Instagram (it was
supposed to be the sparkle picture)  LOL!  Beckham let the pink balloon fly up
into the air!  Guess we were all dressed appropriately!  Oh and we have no names
whatsoever!

Congrats! I love your blog and have been reading for awhile now (from Oregon). I just had my second baby (18 months after the first…crazy!) so now we have a boy and a girl. My son's nursery was blue and lime green. I painted an old dresser green and it turned out really well. It also has transitioned well into his "big boy" room since it wasn't too babyish.
    Congrats again!
